|Welcome to the BookTrailer Competition|
Many of us dream of our favourite books coming to life on the silver screen. Sometimes, books do translate into beautiful and entertaining films or series. Other times, we can only dream of how these stories would play out across our screens.
Now, we can try and capture the magic of our favourite books by creating a trailer!
This competition is not just open to the readers or vidders of IF, but to IF as a whole.
The competition will be split into categories. Category one consists of people who make the trailer and write the summary. Category two will be a group category, whereby one person will write the summary and the other will make the trailer, for those of us who read but do not make videos.
Guidelines:
- As long as you have an IF account, you can participate.
- Trailers can be on any book or series, so long as it has not been already made into a movie or TV series.
- All entries should be not longer than 5 minutes.
- All entries should comply with the IF CoC.
- All entries should be uploaded on zShare. Once the competition is over, you may upload them wherever you wish for public sharing.
- Do not advertise your trailer. If you are found doing so, you will be disqualified.
- Send in your entry in an organised form ' category, title, author, cast, songs/music, summary of story and link. If you are participating in category two, please only send in your entry once, and specify who made the trailer and who wrote the summary.
- PM your entries to me (Anhdara13).
*edit add*
Please have your subject as 'BookTrailer Competition' when you send the PM.
*edit end*
- No more than one entry per ID.
Some tips:
Do not give the whole story away in the video. Remember, this is a trailer for the whole thing. Leave a summary to be placed under the video's link when they are put up for voting.
Some examples of such trailers are:

Entries will be judged on the following:
- Effectiveness of trailer
There will be both 'viewers pick' and 'critics pick' for both categories. Judging will only commence once the competition closes.
*edit add*
Once again, the competition deadline is being extended so those of you who are interested can participate. The closing date will not be the 20th of January.

Have fun!
