After making some journalists in the media think that their film was a hit, this week it was the turn of the trade as advertisements were put in trade papers to show the business of Sarkar Raj but the trade just laughed them off. Mohan Bansal a distributor from Rajasthan remarked "Sarkar Raj will be out of theatres here in Jaipur on Friday and its not much better elsewhere, its a loser, films released alongside it like Aamir and Mere Baap Pehle Aap have done much better."
The advertisements did not show the most important figures and those are presented below.
Sarkar Raj Distributor Losses
Distributor-PVR Pictures (Delhi/UP/East Punjab/Mysore)
Loss-1.55 crore FLOP
Distributor-Kapurchand PVT LTD (West Bengal)
Loss-40 lakhs FLOP
Distributor-Maa Sona Films (Bihar)
Loss 20 lakhs FLOP
Distributor-Rajshri Pictures PVT LTD (CP Berar)
Loss-25 lakhs FLOP
Distributor- Sahara One Media Entertainment LTD (CI/Rajasthan)
Loss-80 lakhs DISASTER
Distributor-Indra Films (Nizam)
Loss 10 lakhs FLOP
Distributor-Harward Entertainment (Tamil Nadu/Kerala)
Loss-5 lakhs FLOP
Distributor-Eros International (Overseas)
Loss-1.25 crore FLOP
It can been seen from the figures that the distributors of Sarkar Raj in various circuits are losing between 10-50% of their investment and that is where the box office fate is decided of a film. The profits made by selling a film does not mean success because this way very few films are flops, a film is a hit when the investors you sell to make money and sadly with Sarkar Raj the investors lost money no matter what the team of Sarkar Raj would like to believe and want to portray to the world.
