This is one fight that is turning out to be a little tragic!
We are talking about the news pertaining to the title war which is currently been fought between Yash Raj Films and Sahil Chaddha. It is an old issue that the titles of their respective films bear resemblance - Kunal Kohli directed film is called THODA PYAAR THODA MAGIC while Sahil has produced Aanand L Rai directed THODI LIFE THODA MAGIC.
While it seemed that the issue may die its natural death in a few days time, there doesn't seem to be any respite in sight as Sahil has gone ahead and announced the release date of his medium budgeted film that stars himself along with Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan, Anita Raaj and Meera Vasudevan. The date of release? 27th June, the same day as the release of Saif, Rani and Amisha starrer THODA PYAAR THODA MAGIC.
Sudden release plan for the film only conveys a couple of things. a) Sahil is looking for a compromise situation which leads to a good enough reason for him to move the film ahead and b) If at all the two films release together, it generates free publicity for his film which leads to a better footfall!
Well, it may seem like a smart move to him but the fact still remains that audience knows what it is getting into. On the face value THODI LIFE THODA MAGIC does sound interesting, especially with director Rai at the helm who had made an engrossing STRANGERS last year. This is why resorting to a publicity gimmick like this is only making a seemingly worthwhile film like THODI LIFE THODA MAGIC appear as a wannabe film in the making.
Is Sahil reading this? Or would be allowing his film to be classified as 'Thoda Fight Thoda Tragic'?
