 There's been speculation for a long time about singer-composer Adnan Sami's acting debut.After Adnan lost oodles of weight — more than 100 kilos — he became hot property with filmmakers eyeing him for their movies. There were rumours he was playing the lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister, Bela Saigal's film. Then came another set of rumours that he was playing a blind singer after which there was talk of him playing a hero in a romantic film with two heroines. Now all speculation has been put to rest. Adnan will be making his acting debut in Bollywood, but the movie will be produced by his wife Sabah. Sabah's setting up a production house and will be making films. She belongs to the noted Galadari Brothers family of Dubai. Not surprising, then, that she has decided to get into business. So why didn't Adnan choose from among the films offered to him? "Adnan has been offered many films as hero and he was quite seriously considering some of the offers. But everywhere he felt there were things he wanted done differently," says a source. "So his wife decided to set up her own production house and make her own films. The company will also make films with other artists. Sabah has good business acumen," adds the source. |
