Movie Review- Bhootnath

Bhootnath, a movie you should not miss out. A simple, bit unreal but highly captivating with its taut screenplay and dollops of emotion intelligently injected to the story.

Meet Kailash nath, aka Bhootnath as lovingly called by banku (aman siddiqui, the main protagonist). He (Bhootnath) doesn't want anyone to enter his home due to several reasons. These reasons form the crux of the plot. So it would be unethical to give details about that. And rest of Goa, where the story is set, is horrified by the name of Nath Villa, the haunted mission. The makers intelligently depicts the spooky look of the haunted mansion in the beginning itself when two couples (Nauheed- Ashish) goes there and run out due to fear.

So this was all about the basic plot or the storyline. The movie is truly amazing with some special scenes ought to have spell binding effect on viewers. The interaction between Bhootnath and child is truly best of the enterprise. Juhi-Aman relationship and SRK-Juhi tits bits in between are refreshingly different. Other characters also do well but the story rests on the principal characters.

In the beginning just as u thought that it's a spooky film, u are proven wrong when the light and funny moments between the child and the ghost takes u by surprise. When you thought that it was like a run of the mill movie when the ghost befriends the child and all, you are again taken aback when the story turns to a very emotional fare, which are undoubtedly best of the lot.

The highly gripping drama that follows, one is bound to use his/her handkerchiefs again and again, as I did it. The best is reserved for climax and a different culmination. The shraddh sequence is excellent from the direction and handling point of view. Just too emotional and connective!👏

Other aspects like Music don't promise much when u hear them but looks good on screen.

Choreography especially of 'hum to hain aandhi' and 'banku bhaiya' are worth watching. But the real gems are 'chalo jaane do' rendered by Amitabh and Juhi themselves, is very melodious and looks very appealing ( And who thought that Amitabh and Juhi can sing so well, especially Juhi?) when both of them consoles the child and another song 'Samay ka Pahiya' which is best of all. Hariharan and Sukhwinder Singh have sung it exceptionally and deserve highest marks for that. It gels beautifully with the climax. The look of the film is great with eye filling locales of Goa. 👏👏

Now performance wise, you don't have to be an Einstein to guess that Amitabh Bachchan is the heart and soul of the movie. He shines above all and is very good at emotional and light scenes.

Aman Siddiqui, the child artist is really cute and plays his part with gusto. He stands tall in front of Bachchan and deserves accolades for this beautiful sweet act. Juhi Chawla is excellent in a role tailor made for her. Her humorous acts, and caring attitude for the child is really good. Shahrukh's role is more of a character than a special appearance. He is there for 40-50 minutes in a movie of 2.10 hours. He does really well, as always especially in the last few scenes. Priyanshu chatterjee has less to do but still nonetheless, he acts well. Satish shah is truly funny and entertaining as the foodoholic and strange speaking principal, so as Rajpal Yadav who has a bit sketchy role. Other characters like jojo (banku's friend & foe) and his mother, Amitabh's wife in a short role are good supporting cast. 👏

Bhootnath is an engrossing movie that will not let you down when you enter the hall with something entertaining to see. It's a film mainly for kids but will be appreciated by everyone, esp. emotional people who will love its climax. See this movie for the terrific Amitabh and child and also the refreshing storyline with very little moments that will bore you. Some scenes are truly unbelievable and do not look senseful but still everything is acceptable in this filmi duniya.😆 A big Thumbs up!👏

Go enjoy this with your siblings/kids in this wonderfully inclined movie.

Bhootnath- a bhoot with a golden heart. Truly amazing. So chill out this summer with this awesome movie.
