Abhishek ignores Sikander for b'day party

Dost, dost na raha... Abhishek Bachchan had a birthday party in Jaipur last night at his hotel room. It was strictly a close friends and family affair. Biwi Aishwarya and his parents specially flew in for the occasion, as did close friends like Kunal Kapoor, Goldie Behl, Apoorva Lakhia and a few others. Another close buddy Rakeysh Mehra was already there, as he is directing Dilli 6, for which the Bachchan Boy is stationed in the Pink City.

Interestingly...

For some strange reason, Abhishek's bachchpan ka dost, Sikandar Kher, was left out of the guest list. In fact, the

poor guy wasn't even aware of the party. Says our khabru, "Sikandar was not invited because he has done something to upset Abhishek. None of the friends know what the problem is, but we all know Abhishek is miffed. Maybe it's just an ego hassle or something. It's no big deal. Friends have fights and misunderstandings all the time but at least Abhi should tell Siku what the problem is. They should sort it out. You cannot just turn your back on your friend."

Meanwhile, the bechara Kher boy is blissfully unaware of the problem and the fact that he is being slowly edged out of the Bachchans inner circle.

Not for you

Says an insider, "The last time Abhishek Bachchan had a party, he SMSed the invite to all his friends. When Kher Jr heard about the party from another friend, he called Abhishek and told him that he hadn't received the message. Abhishek coolly told him, 'I didn't send you one.' Abhishek has been behaving very coldly with Sikandar over the last couple of months and poor Siku doesn't even know why. But this is the first time that Abhishek has snubbed him so openly."

Clueless

Sikandar sounded stumped when we called, "I don't know what to say. I have never been invited formally for any of Abhishek's events but have just been there. Abhishek's like my brother. There is no formality for family. I find it ridiculous to even discuss this." When asked if he was aware of the small party in Abhishek"s room last night, he said, "As far as I know, there was no party happening. If some friends are going to wish him over there that"s fine with me. I can't go as I am working."
