Maya.....John has said in interviews that he is a non-smoker but he had to smoke for the film....

Many of them say but do different things off-screen. John Abraham used to smoke then he quit and again picked up smoking during 'No-smoking'.

Quoting from another article,

"In fact though the film is about non-smoking, the director and even his cast and crew are often seen smoking in between shots."

The smokers have it tough esp. in a stressful industry like Bollywood unless they have a strong will to quit. Even the most "intellect" actors who quit have done so many times before only to have picked it up during film making.

Yes she does. I have seen her smoke with my own eyes. Her brand is Malrlboro lights.
