As we discussed before the release I think not-so promising promos, boring songs, full story on rediff.com which was similar to goal/lagaan/chak de and non-appealing co-stars. No good male lead. It was before. There was a slideshow where they revealed the entire plot except for the ending but then that is easy to guess in these kind of films.

I remember when Pyar to Hona hi Tha had released I read its whole story in some magazine. Dialogue to dialogue, word for word... and didnt understand a thing!
Then I watched the movie and that thought... well that wasnt hard! 😆

^^^ I think if not all then at least a cinema should cater to a particular niche. Apart from Madhuri's comeback ANL didn't appeal to any and that is the reason behind flop verdict.

I love film noir genre so looking forward to 'Dus Kahaniyan'. Again I haven't seen the promos but some of the cast (Shabana & Shah, Mahesh Manjrekar etc) is interesting and the stories too. So at least it will cater to audience like me.

With TZP I think it is going to be a universal hit and will appeal to all. The promos, the actors, the subject, everything looks promising.

Did it not? But do you think that it was the actual concept of the movie or portrayal of the plot that causes the dissatisfaction through a bad script, actors' selected, and other factors?

All I know about the movie is that Madhuri plays a mother who comes back to her old town and revitalizes a worn down theater.

TZP will definitely appeal to a mass that is a gaurantee. Aamir knows what kind of movies to handle, make, and act in very well by now.

I am look forward to Dus Kahaniyaan also! I dont know about all of the actors acting in the movie, but the storyline is definitely appealing. It's like a 'stylin' story line. Hope the script is really really good!

most of her fans don't find her interesting anymore since she is married and has kids. that is the unfortunate and sad reality. a reason why women let go their personal life-happiness for such careers.. i think just as kajol had a big star opposite her in fanaa (her comeback movie), Mads could have used one. Not that either of these very accomplished and outstanding queens of Bollywood need them to do well, but just to fare well at the Box office 😳..
Another factor- Wrong time to release.. OSO & Saawariya were publicized wayyyyy over and delivered new star kids and magnificent shows..
Madhuri rules.. I wish her well in her next venture.. 😳

That might be a love story...

Promotions by OSO and Sawariya were done in such a fashion...and now any movie promotion is looking tiny miny 😆 😆 😆

I was a big Madhuri fan. I still am but her recent changes on her face is not very appealing at least to me. She looks a lot older than 40 because of various treatments which I believe were not needed because she looked much better before.

Sharmila, Rakhee and Dimple Kapadia had great career after having kids. But I guess they were young. But I agree that here we accept a 60 yr old male actor going to college but want 40 yr old female actors to play mother.

Other than Madhuri I don't think ANL was appealing. YRF is not careful with their scripts, songs and treatment these days. So many duds.

Hi, I think that since Madhuri is married and has 2 kids, she did not want to play a romantic lead in the film opposite a male lead because it may be awkard to explain to her small kids why she is with someone else so that is the reason she plays a divorced mom who has nothing to do with romance but help others in romance maybe.

The first Time when I heard she is coming back and when I heard she had no major hero opposite her, I predicted this would definitly happen. Like someone here said that even Kajor has a major hero in her comeback movie.

Maybe Madhuri just wanted all the attention in the movie and Yash Chopra obliged since she said yes in the first place. But at least Yash Chopra should know, I mean after all he makes mostly romantic movies.

I certainly hope she comes back soon and realized her mistake and stars opposite SHAH RUKH KHAN 😃 😃 😉

Isn't Halla Bol postponed? BTW rumors are that it is based on Aamir Khan-Narendra Modi feud about Narmada andolan.😛 Welcome looks like a typical laugh riot of Akshay. Anil Kapoor and Nana looks promising in that.
