The problems with director's Anubhav Sinha's latest film Cash seem to be never ending. Apparently the film will now have to be renamed as it has run into problems with its title. Considering the fact that all the TV promos, posters and CD covers have already been made, this will be a huge financial jolt for the film even before its release. The film starring Ajay Devgan, Diya Mirza, Ritesh Deshmukh and Zayed Khan among others has been mired in controversy from the very beginning. The tiff between the producers of the film, Sohail Maklai and Anish Ranjan is far from over before it has been hit by this latest crisis. As Maklai's name was dropped from the film's credits, he has now refused to sign on the consent papers for the censor certification till he is given due credit. The title of the film has been registered under Maklai's production company Essem Entertainment. So if he is not given credit as producer, then the co-producer Ranjan and director Sinha will have to settle for another title. The film's promos are already on air, posters and CD covers have already been printed. In case the two warring parties do not come to any kind of settlement, then fresh promos and publicity material will have to be arranged. Ranjan and Sinha will loose a lot of money even before the films hits the theatres. |
