Vivek Oberoi portrayal as the dreaded gangster Maya Dolas has been critically appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. Shootout at Lokhandwala took the best opening of the year so far (85%) and is already being declared as a hit in the trade circles.

With the success of Shootout at Lokhandwala, looks like Vivek's hard work and talent to understand the psychological traits and get into the skin of the character has paid off handsomely. Especially since he was playing the antagonist against the main protagonist Sanjay Dutt in the film.
