Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan got married more than a week ago, on April 20, but the buzz about their wedding still goes around. And so do the wedding pictures that readers keep sending in from time to time. A reader sent us more pictures of the wedding.

Ash, who has played the coy bride quite a few times on screen, looked beautiful in her elaborate sari. Abhishek wears a more serious look.

Soon after the wedding, the couple flew down to Tirupati to seek Lord Venkateswara's blessings. They were accompanied by Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Anil and Tina Ambani and Amar Singh.

Karan Johar, seen here, was deeply involved in the wedding. He choreographed the sangeet, which took place on April 18.

He takes a break, as Preity Zinta adjusts his turban. She was one of the few contemporary heroines invited to the wedding.

Aishwarya and Abhishek: Honeymoon in Tahiti

Newly wed couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are honeymooning apparently in Tahiti after passing through New Zealand over the weekend.

On arrival at Auckland, Ash and Abhishek reportedly disembarked using a separate entrance from other business class passengers for their onward journey to Tahiti. They did not exit the Auckland airport.




Reports add that Ash and Abhishek were escorted out of a Singapore Airlines flight through a separate entrance, which separated them from the other business class passengers, on their arrival in Auckland. Later they headed towards Tahiti.

The Singapore Airlines staffer requested a female passenger who was on the same flight as Ash and Abhi, to give up her front-row business class seat so that a 'young honeymoon celebrity couple' and their two security personnel could sit together.

Venice and rest of Europe might just be a red herring to get the media off their track.

We spotted newly married couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan applying for visas for Tahiti Polynesia, where they're probably heading to for their honeymoon. Going back to their wedding celebrations, we couldn't resist telling you this interesting tid-bit.

An inside source tells us that though Ash had her bidaai last Saturday, the couple celebrated their first night together on Friday itself at Ash's home in La Mer. For the special occasion, a few staffers from ITC Grand Maratha were called to convert the new bride's bedroom into an exact replica of the hotel's presidential suite.

The next day for the bidaai ceremony, the lunch was a purely South Indian fare ordered from Dum Pukht, Dakshin, ITC Grand Maratha. The lunch was attended by the Bachchan family, Anil Ambani, Amar Singh and Goldie Behl. Now here comes the spicy bit - when lunch was announced, Jaya got up to serve Amitabh first and was even heard saying, "He only eats out of my hands!" Are Bollywood starlets listening?

They probably went for the visa before the wedding...that makes more sense as she does not have either the mangalsutra or sindoor either...considering how traditional the Bachans are, they would not have been pleased with her look so soon after the wedding...
