how celebs are planning to watch the first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup

No one can escape the cricket fever. Our actors too will be hooked to their television sets today.

While some will try to catch the action after their shoots, others will be updated on the score through their friends. Here's finding out how these celebs plan to watch the opening match today.

Manav Gohil

I will be shooting the entire day, so I might catch the end by the time I reach home.

Sajid Nadiadwala

I have organised for a big screen to be put up at my office, where I will watch all the matches. I have been a fan of cricket since my schooldays.

All the great cricketers came out my school, Don Bosco. My message to the Indian cricket team if 'go for it India!'
Paresh Rawal

I am shooting for Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiya in Jaipur, so the timings are not suitable for viewing.

But I will make it a point to take time out and watch crucial matches.

Amit Sadh

I am a huge fan of the game, but I don't know what time I will be done with my shoot.

However, I plan to keep a track of the score on my mobile phone wherever I am.

Sunil Shetty

I mostly get the time to watch the matches in the evening. Also, I have always supported India and not any other team.

I am a huge fan of Saurav Ganguly, and Sehwag is one man who always makes a difference to the team.

My message to them is play to win, but let not that be the be all and end all of it!

Gourav Chanana

I have some meetings lined up tomorrow, so I won't be sitting in front of the television to watch the match.

But I will definitely keep a track of the score.

Bakhtyaar Irani

I have pasted the cricket itinerary on my televsion. These days, I am busy with my wedding preparations, but I will definitely make time to sit and watch the West Indies v/s Pakistan match today.

Fortunately, India is not playing on any of the days that I am having my wedding events.
Rohit Roy

I will be shooting the entire day, so I won't be able to see the full match.

I will catch the tail-end when I reach home.

Mannish Goyal

I am ganging up with a very close friend over red wine and dinner and will watch it on a big screen in a sportsbar, as my house is currently undergoing renovation.

Geeta Basra

It's my birthday today, so I will be spending the day with my friends and family.

But I definitely plan to keep a track of the score through my friends who are huge fans of the game.
Ravi Kissen

I am a big cricket buff. Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar are my favourites.

As most of the matches are in late evening, I will be shooting all day and watching the matches all through the night. I will be having a whale of a time.

Devgan gets dishy

MY SEAT'S BOOKED: Ajay Devgan

Ajay Devgan is a cricket buff and has booked his seat for the World Cup cricket series starting today — in his vanity van.

Shooting commitments have detered him from winging his way to West Indies, so the B-Town actor has fine-tuned his van to include a dish antenna and a Plasma TV to catch all the action.

Cricket-crazy

Even though the Plasma TV was installed to catch up on the latest flicks some time ago, the cricket bug recently made him install a dish antenna atop his van to tune in to all the matches wherever he is on a break between shots.

The actor is presently shooting for Ram Gopal Varma's Sholay and Rajkumar Santoshi's Halla Bol in Mumbai.

From March 20, he will be off for a month-long schedule in Delhi for Kumar Mangat's Sunday, directed by Rohit Shetty.

The van will now travel with him so that Devgan does not miss any of the matches.

Those in the know confirm that the actor is a true follower of the game — the sort who will stay awake throughout the night to catch a match, and can rattle off scores and run rates from memory.

Rooting for India

So which team is Devgan rooting for in the World Cup? "I really hope India wins the World Cup," says Devgan.

He prefers not to espouse about his favourite team or player though. "Ultimately, may the best team win," adds the reticient actor.

Incidentally, Devgan turns a year older on April 2. He will be in New Delhi shooting for Sunday, so there will lots to celebrate this time, along with all the cricketing action.
