Gemini Ganesan was a real star and a very good actor. My mum is a big fan of his acting. He was from a very rich background, educated in london and almost became a doctor, but chose acting instead. He was up there in popularity with MGR and Sivaji. But the guy had a real weakness for women. I believe even at the age of 70 he got married, his first wife was a real good woman, she put up with him and when he wanted to marry again she let him marry only because he said he would kill himself or something. Wow. But the guy did one good thing. All his legal daughters are doctors, and have done great things like build hospitals and stuff. 👏

Dont think that amit -rekha has some concrete plans for marriages...its' just their chemistry on screen that public hve associated them like lovers ...i am not so sure, as its long ago ...anyways thnsk for sharing some views concerning them of which i wasnt aware 😊

Thre was a lot of gossip written in film magazines those days...i remember reading one article that said that Amitabh and Jaya had a show down at Pratiksha, their bungalow...and lil Abhishek who was all of nine or ten stood in defense of his mom and said " dont speak to her like that"...

Amitabh Bachchan met Jaya way before Rekha. He fell in love with Jaya's demure nature. They were going to start together in Guddi but since he already did Anand, Hrishikesh Mujherjee replaced him with another new actor. Jaya was a top star and AB was an upcoming actor and she was the only one who agreed to act opposite him in Zanjeer. Affair with Rekha started in late 70s. When she got a call from Hema Malini that she eloped with Dharmendra and got married, Rekha was overjoyed thinking AB will also give her the status of other woman. She even signed a painting in Gulzar's house as Jaya. That shows her craziness. But as all of us know Jaya is a strong woman and the dialogue in Silsila was more like a confrontation between the two women. Coolie accident story others mentioned opened Amitabh's eyes. Rekha kept lots of fasts at that time but once AB was out of hospital he decided never to have anything to do with her. He had brief affair with Parveen Babi during Deewar.
