I kinda respect Dharmendera for having the guts to marry the woman he loved...
the fact that now they arent staying together and that he stays with his first wife is a different story tho' 😉

Jaya Bachchan is a strong woman👏. Even with all the rumours she accepted the role in Silsila which was offered to another actress who back out. That confrontation scene was wonderful.

But Hema Malini ruined her life. She repeats in all interviews that she misses a partner in her life. She has no one to share her happiness and sorrow. Sridevi was smart enough to make Boney Kapoor divorce his first wife. I think that actresses these days are smart and practical. But why does Rani Mukherjee look sad these days?😕

Of course I was not born when amitab and jaya got married. my mom told me what I know, that amitab was horrible to jaya bachan in first few years of their marraige. she knew very well that her husband was having an affair, but he refused to stop seeing rekha and then he had that accident. yeah there were rumors he almost filed divorce papers and all that, but when he almost died it was jaya who took care of him.

now amitab is one of the respected people in bollywood and a role model. weird how in the world of entertainment, mistakes are forgieven much more easily, one day you are in the dog house another day you are a hero.

in all of this i think the biggest fault was of jaya bachan. wait hear me out. jaya badhuri was very famous, maybe even ten times more famous than amitab was at that time. she could have continued with her successful career, she was an elegant actress and would have won many awards. why did she marry amitab when she very well knew he loved rekha. it was a well known fact those two were lovers, she was an independent career woman, she didnt have to settle down so fast. of course everything worked out today, but things could have easily gone the other way and jaya would have been in a mess and her kids would have been in trouble.

But you know things did work out. So this triangular love story is definitely one for the books, and I think no actors affairs will ever be so fascinating as this one because of all the drama, a passionate love, saintly wife, forbidden affair, astrology mixed with near death, love once again, possible suicide. a movie just enhances the appeal. no one will ever know what really happened. rekha should right a tell all book. BEST SELLER. 😆

@Maragatham: Amitabh didn't know Rekha when he met Jaya. Rekha was this dark, ugly duckling whom many heros refused to even kiss. Amitabh had an affair with Rekha in late 70s when she was transformed into this slim and trim beautiful Rekha.
