Dhar is pumping division in his own than anything. bhadkaa raha hai , desh ko kaho ya deshwalon ko kaho.

Dharundhar ka gussa movie pe nahi hai, people are pissed because of the fraudulent numbers and then, on top of that, the makers unleashing an entire horde of ghundas on anyone who points it out.

I'm not an RS fan but I do like the dude and so want his movies to succeed. However, I don't care much for Dhar and all the drama that surrounds his films. I've therefore been so conflicted about how I feel about this movie.

Reviewers can be challenged on their opinion since they decided to put it out on a public platform - yep

Reviewers and film journos can be called out if they repetitively exhibit a pattern of favouring specific ppl in the industry while trying to come across as credible and neutral - yep

Anyone who likes durandhar is propoganda people and sanghi people - nope

Anyone who dosent like durandhar are pak apologists - no

Films can be patriotic and well made - yep

All patriotic films are propaganda films - nope

Having villains belonging to a specific religion or race is not automatic grounds for assuming that specific race or religion is villainous - yep

I swear if Lagaan was made in today’s day and age it would be called “propaganda” against the Brit’s and be written off …

It’s a patriotic film…that took inspiration from real incidents (Brit’s rule in India and how they treated Indians) to craft a fictional story and shot it in an engaging manner that connected with people..just because the film has British villains does not mean the film is inciting violence against the Brit’s …it’s a choice to have them as villain in THAT story..much like what dhurandhar or uri did

A film like Shamshera/ shyaam Singha Roy had a tilak wearing Brahmin as the villain…its not telling u to hate Hindus

A film like taare zameen par had parents who failed to understand their child’s dyslexia and kept pressuring him to study …its not telling u to hate ur parents

A film like pushpa and kgf had criminals as their protagonists …its not telling u to become a smuggler…

Sheesh cant believe this has to be spelt out …like or dislike a film thats a choice …but it’s what’s with the constant “what is the filmmaker intending to tell u” nonsense …filmmaker is intending to tell u a story..
