Ameesha, Bipasha, Lara, Gracy Singh, Rimi Sen were all thrown out like used toilet paper after a couple of flops. The Tum Bin leads couldn't even get films. Katrina luckily had Salman & Akshays backing. Gradually got a bit better by the time Deepika debuted mostly because all the top actresses like Preity, Aishwariya, Rani got old and they needed new faces.
The stat was 🤯🤯🤯... Imagine Janhavi ruining 20 movies...and 21st movie somehow clicks...boom 💥... Janhavi is soo good wale laurels
Cannot really bring kareena's initial filmography here and make same comparisons for janhvi. That bollywood was a different industry, it was thriving not dying like it is presently. The production itself was 3 times compared to now..thrice the number of movies would release compared to now and likewise all major stars had thrice the no. of movies they be doing compared to now. It was just an extremely active industry with multiple releases every week. I remember you would pick which BW movie to see almost every week unlike now where you hardly have many releases. Likewise when you are doing 6 movies a year, the no. of potential flops would also be more compared to now when limited movies are being made.
But having said that, not denying and haven't denied that ever that kareena was a major product of nepotism but at least she gave something. She gave a solo superhit as her 2nd movie. She made Poo iconic and in a movie with a cast as stellar as that, she stood her own through her magnetic screen presence. She showed potential in her 3rd and 4th year with movies like Chameli and Dev and in her 6th year gave an award winning performance in Omkara followed by hitting an all time high with the widely acclaimed and evergreen Geet's potrayal in JWM. This was at least something in her 1st 7 years, same time as Janhvi has spent in the industry so far and she has none of that.
Plenty.
5 out of 5? 10 out of 5? What are u saying? What do u mean?Originally posted by: prerna4rishav
But honestly Kareena was beautiful. She had something albeit funnyeven in movies like MPKDH she somewhat shined.
Here we are talking about Jhanvi. -5 out of 5 in looks department. -10 out of 5 in acting. Why is she still getting movies ?
Ruined Saiyara H version, ruined the stories of Gunjan Saxena and one more (forgot the name but she was the solo lead) good story movie with sheer capability of bad acting.
Also, why so many Jhanvi topics ? Killing me.

Funny how they bring up Ameesha, Lara, Mallika like that’s the whole list of “failures” from 2000s but conveniently skip the full buffet of starkid flops, Esha Deol, Soha Ali Khan, Amrita, Tanishaa, Shamita, Riya Sen… pick your fighter. Esha honestly had more backing than Kareena at one point and still fizzled out after a few years. Meanwhile PC somehow crawled through three times more flops than hits and still ended up “making it.” Go figure.

You see, you missed the - signs before the first numbers. It’s -5/5 and -10/5. Hope that clarifies my love and rating of Jhanvi.
sorry! My mistake 😂Originally posted by: prerna4rishav

Kareena also made b*itchy remarks in public about probably every contemporary of hers. She said Raj Kapoor's grand daughter won't do such scenes like the ones in Murder. If today's nepo make such scathing remarks, aag lag jayegi. ( Hilarious how she went ahead and did the same in Kurbaan, Heroine. And less said the better about how Raj Kapoor presented his heroines.
