She needs to take acting classes. She was the wrong choice for param sundari.

Even Dhadak was not a hit. Just average and that too because of the strong material. The original Sairat was an all time blockbuster in Marathi. These guys remade it and made it mediocre.

That's true, Kareena wouldn't be anywhere without nepotism. Even the likes of Esha Deol and Soha Ali Khan never half as many chances as Kareena.

But truth be told, Kareena genuinely had a spark and talent to perform when the director and script were good. She shined in 3 idiots even in a small role.

I can't think of Janhvi being good in a single film, except may be Gunjan where she was still average but not bad, and that may have been a fluke.

Sometimes, I wonder how much an actor/actress even takes the effort to understand the character he/she got casted to play...is it a lack of empathy/knowledge/emotional intelligence/life experience/observation of the world around? Or is it inner emptiness?insecurity?

There are moments in the movies I've watched with Janhvi in the lead where I could see when she didn't act like being in front of a mirror and telling herself "now, I'll act like this...or better that?" but connected to the character so that I also could connect to it.

In Param Sundari, I think, there are some moments when the idea for the story is f e l t...but some moments of connecting simply aren't enough....and the restaging of known scenes from other movies just kicks one out of the actual story.

But honestly Kareena was beautiful. She had something albeit funny even in movies like MPKDH she somewhat shined.

Here we are talking about Jhanvi. -5 out of 5 in looks department. -10 out of 5 in acting. Why is she still getting movies ?

Ruined Saiyara H version, ruined the stories of Gunjan Saxena and one more (forgot the name but she was the solo lead) good story movie with sheer capability of bad acting.

Also, why so many Jhanvi topics ? Killing me.

She gave Khushi & MPKDH back to back...yet got more movies. But people say that she survived because she was talented and there isn't nepotism at play.

I don't know, never found Kareena attractive. She actually looks a lot better now than she did in the early- mid 2000s and her (Over)acting gave me a headache

I also don't really care about Jhanvi. Just calling out the hypocrisy.

There is no "hypocrisy"... gosh...favouritism has always existed... "nepotism" has just become a catchword for something dateless. Certain kind of discussions have more "hypocrisy" than something that is inherent to each filmindustry in the world.

Not just survived....thrived but Nepotism was at its peak back then. I don't know how PC made it tbh. Many actresses from that time have talked about it, Malika Sherawat in particular. Ameesha, Bipasha, Lara, Gracy Singh, Rimi Sen were all thrown out like used toilet paper after a couple of flops. The Tum Bin leads couldn't even get films. Katrina luckily had Salman & Akshays backing. Gradually got a bit better by the time Deepika debuted mostly because all the top actresses like Preity, Aishwariya, Rani got old and they needed new faces.
