Wasn't his role in Animal also a "negative" one? And didn't get Ranbir lauded for playing it so well? So, I think, it may not be so difficult for Ranbir to play a role with "negative traits".

Btw, I like his appearance in the movie (and Vicky's too). Will certainly watch the movie. It gives WorldWar feelings.
