Who coined Leo as biggest movie star in the world ?

LOL, I can't even argue with you. Sam Jackson was the 8th billed in Jurassic Park, 10th billed in Star Wars, which is why his box office numbers look huge. In Leo's films, Leo is the top most billed. the guy single handedly took The Revenant to 500 million, Wolf of Wall street to 400 million. These are R-rated subjects that do not belong to an IP. No actor worldwide would be able to bring in those numbers for such challenging subjects.

Watching Revenant was so boring

This is the biggest nonsense I have ever read that Zendaya, a two time Emmy award winner is Shraddha Kapoor of the west. I fully trust Indians to have the most brain dead takes when it comes to Hollywood. Zendaya is 100 times better than your best actress Alia and can run circles around her.

Actually, before you start your bigotry I've worked in theatre in several countries. Just because I'm not a white person doesn't mean I don't know anything about acting.

Also I said Shraddha Kapoor of the "WEST", there's much higher standards there. I'm sorry but Zendaya is quite mediocre but gets casted in projects above her calibre because she has strong chemistry with the leads. Both of them have similar plus points.

I didn't bring Alia up but chemistry is actually her weakest point by far. That's why she always pushes the couple image with her husband even though it gets her trolled.

Zendaya is good with chemistry, physically very fit, her diction is decent but has a habit of slurring her sentences, and often under-emotes. That's more similar to Shraddha than anything except she over-acts than under-acts.

Yes Zendaya has a few great roles (Euphoria and Malcolm/Marie) but she did not do well in The Greatest Showman. Actually she gave the weakest performance in the film. She was terribly wooden in Spiderman compared to Emma Stone, but she has the physique and good chemistry with Tom so I'll let that one pass.

In comparison she's lacking compared to the rest of her generation (again, because they're actually a bit more advanced than the men now).

You also cannot compare an Indian commercial actor and a Hollywood actor in pure skill alone...they are completely seperate...you can only compare through vehicles like Broadway where everything is standardized.

I agree especially if you see the industries they make different kind of movies

LOL, the balance is not working for Pugh, bhaang kha rakhi hai kya??? Two of her films: Dune 2 and Oppenheimer are going to be huge blockbusters. I know her role is not significant in those two films but she has built good enough relations with Nolan and Denis, two of the best directors working today. On top of that, she is leading Marvel's next film thunderbolts. She also has a film with Brooklyn's director that stars Andrew Garfiled and could be her Oscar-bait of the year. She is doing it all and you are saying she is not balancing her career well.

Yes, Pugh herself has admitted the balance is not working out for her. Don't Worry Darling had a huge amount of drama last year, and obviously she was the best part of the entire thing but it was a big public relations mess. Everyone ignored The Wonder, her better film.

Indie filmmakers get mad when their protegees work in the mainstream. Florence has lost some critical support because she signed with Marvel (which I think is stupidly elitist on their part). I don't have a lot of hope for Marvel. They tend to do women dirty. I hope I'm wrong on that because it's a good way to get noticed.

Dune 2 is going to do a decent amount for her - Oppenheimer was a Cillian Murphy + at most Blunt vehicle, but Dune 2 is based off a novel with a lot of scope.

We Live In Time (the Andrew Garfield movie) has hype because the script is written by Nick Payne, but it's absolutely impossible for her to win some major awards next year bar a miracle - it's a very sad role and the West rarely latches onto those kinds of movies. The Oscar(s) are way off, she did win SAG in an ensemble role but there's some way to go.

Rooney Mara has taken some of her festival scope too which is a bummer.

I like Pugh. She's figuring things out - even she's admitted some of her choices have caused some anger.

Alia fans shouldn’t do that. I saw Saorise in a tv show once. I was left unimpressed. An I’m biased against European accents anyway smiley36

Saorise is very talented. And she does an American accent much better than any European accent. She got an Oscar nom for a terrifying role in Atonement.

I think Timothee had some buccal fat removal gone wrong, his numerous plastic surgeries may not be helping as much as they once did.

Zendaya is not a good actress. She's like..a Shraddha Kapoor of the West. She knows this though so I think she'll improve. It's odd to compare her to the strongest of the generation like Saorise Ronan. She has ruined quite a few films early in her career.

Pugh is actually a very decent actress but she seems to be trying to balance good roles and franchises for fame - she absolutely carried that Harry Styles movie DWD last year. This balance doesn't seem to be working out for Pugh though.

Anya Taylor Joy actually is a very good actress as well. Her looks are very unique (great fashion sense) but she manages to make it work. Furiosa looks insane. She's very shy though, I don't think that helps with the personality Hollywood wants, and she's already married.

The top 3 skill-wise are Ronan, Pugh and Taylor. I'm surprised it's so female-centric.

Tom Holland indeed has a weak script sense and is hell bent on breaking his image by doing overtly intense stuff, his screen presence is his biggest asset I feel and he ain't utilising it all that well, the good thing is the young actors in the west are actually young and in their 20ssmiley36so there's still time to break out properly and that's why I don't understand Timotheé's incessant need to get work done on his face, I guess you are right it's indeed buccal fat removal surgery gone wrong, guess the pressure to maintain that jawline.

Ronan is head and shoulders above her contemporaries in terms of effortlessness, hence Florence getting touted as the scene stealer in Little women never sit well with me, I mean were we really suppose to buy Pugh playing a 15 yr old Amy actsmiley36 I find both Zendaya and Pugh to have a fixed template for Zendaya it's the resisting bitch face or non chalance that she brings into every character for Florence it's that weird frown pout face she keeps on making, both are pretty decent IMO, Zendaya however may finally arrive as movie star this year with her 1st theatrical release as a lead. I like both but both annoy me from time to time with their Red carpet shenanigans smiley36

I haven't watched Anna Taylor Joy's work apart from that creepy af Menu flicksmiley36with Ralph Fiennes found her forgettable so can't comment, is Queen's Gambit worth watching?
