Jeremy Allen White >>> Timothee if we're talking about new gen of actors. Better actor and doesn't looks like a white lizard.

Timotheé has a good script sense and I really liked him in Little Women, Dune, Call me by your name etc, I have never really liked him offscreen though especially after the whole Zionist shtick. He used to look great during 1st Dune press and stuff but I don't know whats up with him, he looks off lately. But I surely dig his pairing with Ronan and looking forward to Dune 2.

Tom Holland on the other hand has a serotonin boost kinda off screen personalitysmiley36 and I have adored him as Spider-Man but recently when I watched his other work after realising he's a theatre kid I was simply blown, especially The Crowded Room he has given such a nuanced performance, its quite ironical that guy who is the face of a Multi-Billion franchise probably cinematic universe even is so underrated as actor. Guess Spiderman casts a very big shadow. But IMO Tom >>> Chalamet.

Saoirse Ronan is way better than likes of Pugh, Zendaya etc

Tom has a rather weak script sense, I think Chalamet has done a fantastic job so far of picking scripts and improving his talent, where Tom seems authentic personality-wise but his range is smaller. I think Timothee had some buccal fat removal gone wrong, his numerous plastic surgeries may not be helping as much as they once did.

Zendaya is not a good actress. She's like..a Shraddha Kapoor of the West. She knows this though so I think she'll improve. It's odd to compare her to the strongest of the generation like Saorise Ronan. She has ruined quite a few films early in her career.

Pugh is actually a very decent actress but she seems to be trying to balance good roles and franchises for fame - she absolutely carried that Harry Styles movie DWD last year. This balance doesn't seem to be working out for Pugh though.

Anya Taylor Joy actually is a very good actress as well. Her looks are very unique (great fashion sense) but she manages to make it work. Furiosa looks insane. She's very shy though, I don't think that helps with the personality Hollywood wants, and she's already married.

The top 3 skill-wise are Ronan, Pugh and Taylor. I'm surprised it's so female-centric.

I'm here for the Saoirse Ronan supremacy in this thread!!!! smiley41

Adding to some other comments and notes in the thread.

Tom Holland is a much better performer, but Timothee Chalamet is doing better with script selection. Tom has so much potential; I wish he got a break with some good movies post-MCU.

I haven't seen Jeremy Allen White, but I heard a lot of good stuff about him.

Florence Pugh is another great actress but needs to hone in on her script selection. Anya Taylor Joy is also wonderful. I love that she has an unusual look that she leans into. Maye Saorise, Florence, and Anya need to do a movie together.

While we're talking about good performers, kudos to Zac Efron, who has gone from teeny bopper to a more serious actor. And also, the Twilight duo - Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have delivered so many great flicks.

The bottom line is that you shouldn't judge an actor by their big-budget mainstream hits. smiley36

I think Timothy Chalamet has been in the business long enough to reach DiCaprio's level. If he hasn't yet, he never will. Although, his character trajectory seems similar.

That's exactly what I said. smiley24
