Some ideas that I saw which I liked are that as soon as Newbies / Groupbies Posts are reported by 5 members we will suspend their account till the forum moderator verifies those posts.

Thanks for making use of report functionality.
However what about non newbie / groupbies / much more senior member’s non compliance posts?? Spamming etc.

It’s also an issue in this forum.

I visit another forum, and there are few trolls around who show up to abuse, but most of us just ignore them. When the trolls get no attention they stop posting.

Ideally that would be the best thing to do but I guess there is a threshold for every person's tolerance, beyond that threshold one can't ignore.

I started visiting BWF around July 15 last year. In this one year I have not been a regular member, so most of the people don't know my existence in BWF so I never experienced such trolls fortunately.. When one or two new ids took a dig at me (I think only once it happened in Raki aur rani and other thread) I tempted to give angry emoji but chose to ignore the digs bcz I didn't really want to give a f*ck about that member's existence, and I wanted that member to realize that too. Thankfully it never repeated but I have a tendency to react in an angry manner and give people full ears if anyone insults me and make shitty remarks at me so it's not like I ignore trolling me.. All I'm saying is don't let it affect your mental peace and focus on positive things when people complained about the imbalance in the forum.

I typed it yesterday night but had no energy to discuss more/post it then.. It's not like I have energy now but i don't want to waste my long typing.. So enjoy

First and foremost you use smart phones with Syria and Alexa and Google assistant. You are then not as safe as you think.

You use Google pay on your phone... not a great idea esp if you lose your phone.

Giving your phone number where only the admin has access to during registration and would be deleted afterwards will not really be as unsafe as the many unsafe things we are doing knowingly or unknowingly technically online.

So I return the slow claps back to its sender.

There are people in IF who hold grudges for years. They do come back as MID, and never stop.

This 4 to 6 days rule has no impact. They have patience.

If created many situations and I have seen a number of cases where the lack of security has compromised people without going in much details.

This is not a discussion forum. It is a Social networking site. We do not come her, discuss and leave. Most of us have take our aquaintanship and friendships outside of IF. So many people are then friends in other platforms from here, such as WA, Twitter, Facebook.

It's not the best idea, but it happens. People speak on the phone and even meet up in real life. I've met a friend or 2 from here In real life.

So naturally people will share their info with each other. But you never know when the other turns out to be a snake. And it happens.

Then.. Mids come to ppl play. U dig? Where this is going.

Most of you have no idea how dark cyber world is.

Anyways, looking for solutions and brainstorming them will hopefully bring some good.

But forget this 4 to 6 day waiting period. That affects just the innocent mids who get a little cross over some fanbase comment.

The vicious, nasty creeps... they have all the time in the world. They have the patience and diligence.

Y'all want an army of moderators to ensure you and your opinions are safe and secure on the internet for free? This is a free forum. Unless you will pay the salary for a team of moderators, go build your own forum or blog or whatever to cry.

There is no such thing as balance either. Opinion always tips one way or the other. That is life. If you want to be surrounded by people who share the opinion you have 24/7 - there are plenty of echo chambers on the internet you can insulate yourself in - but perhaps you may want to get your own personal bubble.

And a bunch of people disagreeing with and challenging your opinion is not bullying. Learn to have some strength and conviction in your opinions so you don't feel easily victimized when people challenge them.

All the drama going on over the past several weeks is because of a bunch of thin-skinned people who can't handle internet trolls without blowing up or feeling victimized. Logging off is always an option.

Let's talk if they're actually doxing you and threatening your safety and security in the real world.

Direct this question to the MIDs who start the drama because they can’t handle forum disagreements.
