In fact it could really be the other way around. A mighty star grooms a young upcoming actress. There was easily a power differential between them. I'm pretty sure had it been another actor in his place, this would have become the narrative. PC was giddy with love (or so she thought) and wanted to show the world in her own childish way with those statements. While SRK kept it decent, under wraps like affairs with married men are usually are. That is the only difference.

PC is not Kangana. It's actually pretty cruel to label her Kangana 1.0 because you're labelling her a crazy woman who cooked up the affair when that obviously is not the case.

Making a man responsible for the woman's actions is a subtler form of patriarchy than making the *other woman* responsible for the family's breakup. Patriarchy, nevertheless.

SRK is not responsible for Priyanka's actions. Nor is he responsible for telling her to behave herself. Nor is he responsible for her emotions. She was a grown woman when she came to Bollywood. Grown people take responsibility for their own actions.

You could believe SRK groomed her. That is entirely up to you.

What we have as publicly available info is certainly one-sided. From PC's side. And she proceeded to give out hints designed to attack his family. Oh, yeah. She gets that title.

I was going to stay away from this topic. But I feel the need to add. In any affair, it is always the committed party more at fault. Shahrukh was the family man. He should been more responsible for watching himself around young girls. PC had not taken any vows. Nor was she committed to anyone. Blaming her more for the affair in anyway is patriachal IMO.

I don't think SRK ever wanted to marry Priyanka. It was more of a passing affair. With glitz n glamour so many EMA n one night stands happen. Some we know some we never come to know about.

Showbiz is a business where to develop natural chemistry a man n woman have to come together n spend more quality time in name of workshop etc n develop illegitimate relationship in process. That’s why I am surprised when people act surprised, shocked when an actors’ affair news comes out. Some act offended even when they hear about an actor making a pass at an actress

Having flings on locations and moving on after filming is not uncommon. Don’t know if they can still do that without getting caught with so much intrusion but if two people are determined to have ONS or a fling they still can manage, even if they’re big stars, maybe long term affairs would be difficult,

Except the man is also involved in the affair. It takes two to tango. So why is the woman alone singled out? It's not patriarchy. To be honest, the patriarchy argument from your side doesn't even make any sense because it is an AFFAIR with TWO people involved. It's not an individual action.

Again, from my end, I see SRK flirting with many costars and even elderly women, with no one being foolish enough to think it was serious.

There's tons of video evidence of him flirting away with his colleagues, even Ekta Kapoor who is thought to be gay.

So why would I blame him for an affair he didn't have?

And Priyanka was the only one who pulled the stunts of pinkie in the pocket, boyfriend jacket on a TV show, badmouthing Bollywood wives, etc. How is she not Kangana in this scenario?

Let's say you are right, and it was an affair. SRK has to answer to his wife and kids.

But painting a grown woman as an innocent victim when she knew fully well she was dealing with a married? It's infantilizing and definitely patriarchy.
