Jawan Is HISTORIC On Day One - Smashes All Records

Jawan has created history on day one as it becomes the first Hindi film collect over 60 crore nett on day one with collections set to finish around the 65 crore nett mark. The numbers have beaten the record by around 9 crore nett as Pathaan had collected around 56 crore nett on day one. Pathaan was a normal working day while here it was a partial holiday for Janmashtami which has really boosted the numbers in some circuts especially Gujarat.

The Gujarat circuit had a slow advance but it has gone bonkers on the day and collected record or near record numbers and is double of Pathaan here. Generally all mass belts are higher than Pathaan while South and West Bengal will be just edging past the Pathaan numbers far as the Hindi version goes. KGF 2 is the record holder holder in many circuits as far as opening day goes and it remains to be seen how the final numbers compare with that film. The boost for Jawan is that 13-15 crore nett is coming from South in Hindi which KGF 2 did not have.

East Punjab is the sore point as it will be around 4.50 crore nett as again Punjab (political) is not upto the mark but as was seen with Gadar 2 the circuit is not opening but sustains very well and eventually does the numbers content willing. Overall it has pushed the business to another level as Janmashtami is well short of a national holiday which means 75 crore nett is a possibility now for a solo release on a national holiday.

Jawan also picked up a fantastic bonus in languages as both Tamil and Telugu versions put up record numbers for a Hindi film and could end up with 8-10 crore nett taking the all India total to around 73-75 crore nett. Then there is overseas which will also be record levels when the figures come in the morning. Jawan is the INITIAL champion

SRK even in his worst phase went for good directors (without reading the scriptsobsessing over VFX scope) who screwed him royally, Salman's problem is he's surrounded by yes men other than Bharat I haven't seen him put much effort in any of his films in last 5 yrs or so....what impressed me in Jawan so far is the scale shown in the trailer and the fact that SRK let Atlee have the complete creative control. Baki dimag toh zyada laga hi leta marketing n all mein

Anyway high hopes from Tiger 3 (I really enjoyed both ETT n TZH) although I am not too sure about Maneesh Sharma still mad at him for what he did to Fan in the 2nd half lol

Tbh I always got the feeling Salman wears his stardom on the sleeve …his nonchalance is actually what got him his fan base in the first place …he never seems like he’s trying too hard to do the right films , or work with directors who have a good track record/ credibility …..he does absolute trashfests for friends and family and his fans do like the fact that he’s so “idgaf”

I don’t know how but…people like him even in ridiculous hair cuts, ridiculous films, ridiculous dancing, ridiculously written songs/films …criminal cases , abuse stories, arrogant interviews , dumb statements , fights in the industry, stories of abuse …it’s like nothing dents his stardom…he’s just blessed man

I’m not saying every film of his is a bit but he can give 40 flops in a row without trying to lift a finger, and his next film will still have some hype …

Srk and aamir are also big enough to not have petty things dent their stardom but u can tell they actually try to do good films and have earnt some credibility ..

Salman is like that back bench student who dosent try, and gives an empty exam paper to the teacher, but the teacher still gives him good grades…it makes no sense 😂….

I remember there was a fan reaction video of people coming out after watching kisi ka bhai and thetr was thid fan who was walking out, he was asked about his review and he just waved his hand and said “bus bhai ko dekh liya”
