Jawan Is HISTORIC On Day One - Smashes All Records

Jawan has created history on day one as it becomes the first Hindi film collect over 60 crore nett on day one with collections set to finish around the 65 crore nett mark. The numbers have beaten the record by around 9 crore nett as Pathaan had collected around 56 crore nett on day one. Pathaan was a normal working day while here it was a partial holiday for Janmashtami which has really boosted the numbers in some circuts especially Gujarat.

The Gujarat circuit had a slow advance but it has gone bonkers on the day and collected record or near record numbers and is double of Pathaan here. Generally all mass belts are higher than Pathaan while South and West Bengal will be just edging past the Pathaan numbers far as the Hindi version goes. KGF 2 is the record holder holder in many circuits as far as opening day goes and it remains to be seen how the final numbers compare with that film. The boost for Jawan is that 13-15 crore nett is coming from South in Hindi which KGF 2 did not have.

East Punjab is the sore point as it will be around 4.50 crore nett as again Punjab (political) is not upto the mark but as was seen with Gadar 2 the circuit is not opening but sustains very well and eventually does the numbers content willing. Overall it has pushed the business to another level as Janmashtami is well short of a national holiday which means 75 crore nett is a possibility now for a solo release on a national holiday.

Jawan also picked up a fantastic bonus in languages as both Tamil and Telugu versions put up record numbers for a Hindi film and could end up with 8-10 crore nett taking the all India total to around 73-75 crore nett. Then there is overseas which will also be record levels when the figures come in the morning. Jawan is the INITIAL champion

Watched it today..and it was a stylish film with excellent action pieces..IMO the biggest strength of the movie was Papa SRK role and the action sequences..just so cool tbh..especially when Papa Vikram pops in his earphones and effortlessly goes hammer and tongs lol..amazing! The social messages and the political commentary is pretty much in your face and I wouldn’t want to start a whole new debate on it..I respect what the film was trying to do there..it was a cocktail of Wednesday and Naayak..and the whole vote responsibly speech was ahem ok..I get it smiley36 honestly the way Attlee has directed this movie..it moves so fast, so stylish, so cool and Sidharth Anand should just stop making event films and learn from Atlee this is HOW IT IS DONE. SRK was in tremendous form..and he looked so good with the moustache look as Young Vikram Rathore and then the stylish Papa with cigar and earring and the whole interval piece was so thrilling lol…dint enjoy his chikna clean shaven look..but loved the scene between Suji and Azad..it was so sweet..but whenever cool Papa SRK came..I was just blown away lol..Nayanthara is so gorgeous man..this is the first time I have watched her act..and I can totally understand why she is a lady superstar down south..Vijay Sethupathy Vikram last fight sequence was just amazing and so witty and hilarious smiley36 Deepu made big impact in her cameo..TBH she acted so well in that scene with 5 year old Azad..it was touching smiley19 6 girls ..only the first farmer suicide track moved me…but they were just like there..dint get much time to make an impact..all in all..THIS is a worthy movie for SRK to be a part of..hated Pathaan ..really liked Jawaan..and hopefully will LOVE Dunki..

The movie was everything I had hoped it would be and more! Ithad everything, from emotion to comedy to real life seriousness. The message ittold was beautiful. The action in this film is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously. Possibly the best action in any Bollywood movie.

The film was slightly long. but the time flew by. it didnt have any boring or slow parts. it was fast and action packed

the first half was great, the second half was even better. loved the interval.

SRK was amazing and the star of the show. he had 3 entries, i loved all three. i think the bald headed entry was my favorite with the papa srk entry being 2nd. in terms of his looks, how effin cool did papa SRK look? he should embrace that look. he doesnt need VFX to look young, stick with the grey haired papa SRK look. he was the best thing in the film. Bald SRK looked great too. SRK should stay away from clean shaves. he doesnt suit it at all in this day and age.

Nayanthara was awesome. I’ve never watched anyfilm of hers before. She was great throughout. I’m a fan now.

Deepika was good, but imo she wasn't needed. Don't get me wrong, i like her and SRK as a jodi but seeing them so soon after pathaan it's going to be an overkill for many. her role was good however, she had a 20 minute cameo, it was impactful. she looked stunning as allways.

The 6 girls (no idea what they’re called) were all equallygood and had a strong role. the first girls dad commiting suicide was sad. and the one that died was also sad.

Vijay Sethupathi was great. First time I’ve ever watched afilm of his. Will keep a look out for him for the future. I liked him a lot. the samosa line after Mufasa had the whole cinema laughing. smiley37as did SRK's santa clause line.

The Sanjay Dutt cameo was awesome. great to see Sanju Baba on the big screen again. he definitely lightened the whole mood when he was on screen with his comedic timing. the credits scene with him and SRK being in on the plan together was fun to see.

All in all. I would highly recommend this to everyone. It is legit one of the best massy film i've ever seen.
