Indian ones like Shobhaa De called her ordinary, said she looked like a maid or domestic help or someone attending a local wedding and called the yellow saree too plain and ordinary for Cannes.

She was panned for her green saree in some other Cannes season too.

Usually she's been bashed a lot whenever she wore sarees at Cannes or Oprah or appearances abroad.

Shobha De is one mean woman! I loved Aish’s yellow saree look, she looked ethereal ❤️ That simple traditional attire was much better than the foils and tents she is wrapping herself up in now a days at least.
