How come there are so many nobodies this year at Cannes?…. Mrunal, Manushi, Urvashi, Esha etc ? They barely get invited to major Bollywood events but they got Cannes? It really downgrades and downplays the importance of the festival.

Not a fan of Ash’s looks but she definitely has a presence and the ability to grab attention. The other girls look like wannabes who nobody wants to photograph.

Bachchans are kinda old school and probably think being stoic or serious reflects class and dignity and laughing too much or talking too much is not sophisticated or perhaps does not suit a person of certain age, stature or a married person with kids should behave a certain way.

They seem to have hierarchical and old school mentality.

Jaya has totally declined with every decade after marriage to Amitabh and became less cheerful, smiled less, began to look unhealthy, unkempt and frustrated.

Shweta also hardly laughs or smiles and I have felt she sort of dominates Navya a lot and probably mirrors what her own mom did to her as a kid.

Amitabh rarely laughs or smiles much and keeps a serious countenance.

While I agree age wears down everyone, menopause has its effect or there is stress about a growing child in house etc, I do think having senior Bachchans around, takes its toll and Abhishek not being as successful in his career and constantly compared to dad or wife also strains the relationship. Ash has to work harder to ensure her status does not cause disrespect or hurt ego of her husband or in laws.

I would be disappointed if Ash becomes like Jaya B someday. I hope she does not take their influence at all beyond a limit.
