Men r less emotional then women n move on quickly. Women r more of a overthinker hence keep on remembering old past hence they take time . But now woman are also more practical n don't waste time on ppl don't love them back or can't give proper future.

I am yet to see a man who is as publicly and shamelessly, hopelessly, visibly obsessed with a woman even if she is married and is a granny, the way Rekha is obsessed with Amitabh till date. Or a man totally destroying himself over a female superstar. Salman, Dev Anand did not entirely ruin self. Guru Dutt is only one who lost it over affair with Waheeda and failure of Kaagaz ke Phool.

Men's heartbreak is overrated in pop culture. It's women who find it more difficult to move on because it's in their genetic.

Because of heartbreak it seems Deepika fell in depression still Ranbir has guts to say all that😕

Such stories are sadly too common. Suraiyya was completely under her family's control. They didn't approve of dashing Dev. Maybe because he was a young upcoming actor while she was a superstar. He asked her to marry him. She returned his ring. He married Kalpana Karthik in a huff not long after. They slipped away in between shots to marry/propose quickly. I've read a different story. Their story could not materialize because of religion issues. Surraiya's nani is said to have thrown Dev's diamond ring (for Surriya) in the sea. Surraiya could not face the pressure by her family and community abd succumbed. Angered by this Dev Anand married Kalpana bit Surraiya remained unmarried forever.

My mom said Shashi Kapoor loved his wife who was a foreigner and even Shammi Kapoor had a love marriage and loved her even when she had small pox and died. Shashi was depressed after Jennifer died.

Meena Kumari was depressed as she suffered a lot in her marriage and was beaten and dominated by her husband.

Mostly all these actresses earlier were forced into the industry by their parents and made to work while being young so they mostly had to find love outside and anyone who showed a little bit affection made them totally fall for them. Same goes for Madhubala and many more actresses.

Helen too was cheated by her boyfriend who robbed all her savings. However, she managed to get married to Salim Khan. Even Neetu who joined the industry as a small kid was the daughter of an ex-escort managed to marry in the Kapoor family.

I disagree. I think many males also get obsessed with females to a level of toxicity.

Suraiya and Dev marriage got halted due to religious differences. As Suraiya was a Muslim.

People back then always objected to Hindu and Muslim weddings.

Nargis, Sunil, Madhubala, Kishore, Khayyam and his Sikh wife etc are rare example of Muslim marrying non Muslim.

Or Salim Khan marrying Salma who was originally a Hindu and converted after marriage.
