Come on. None of these newbies ever had charm or charisma of Khans, MD, Sri. I rate actresses even below Juhi in terms of popularity, screen presence and talent.

These guys were all hype and less substance. Always known more for affairs or personal life or glamour or political views or mental health etc or PR than any solid films and songs.

Madhuri's one song used to be enough to make films hits. Even if films flopped, her songs would be chart toppers.

She alone made films hits and stole thunder from heroes' nose and made even crap films like Beta hits.

Today's girls have no such appeal that cuts across classes and masses and all generations. MD is last superstar or maybe Ash to some extent.

Kat had hits and fame but not acting chops. Deepika works in fits and starts. Often flops or relies on big stars and banners. Talent is okay but seems more as her rivals are total crap. Alia is overrated and not versatile at all. No sex appeal or beauty like MD of Sri or Hema.

Men are also faltu and stuck in manchild roles. Too over exposed and hardly any niche or versatility like Khans. SRK, Aamir, Salman, Saif had their own charms, niche, speciality or talent. Or script sense and versatility and distinct personality or quirks. Today's lot even has similar names and only difference is V or B in their names. Or need stunts to stay relevant. Like nude photo shoots or sleeping with every top actress in town.

I would not even rate them in league of Hrithik or Akki or Ajay let alone Khans. Mark my words they cannot last for 3 decades the way 90s stars did.

Juat no focus on acting or forming own image or script sense or screen presence. Too over exposed in real life and too known for personal or political issues than star quality or memorable characters.

I find even Govinda more iconic and mass appeal guy compared to lot that came post 2007.

No memorable action or antic or song or dialogue of this passable lot. Unlike Khans where SRK's cool chain, Aamir's Ghulam rings and Salman's guitar and jacket from HAHK, Hello Brother alone became cults.

Agree with everything except Deepika. I think she's a complete package.

She looks like complete package as the bar is too low and her rivals, juniors, contemporaries are useless.

Her dialogue delivery is flat.

Her expressions are limited. Contrast it to voice skills of Madhuri and her range of expressions. Deepika will stand nowhere. She also has no comic timing like Juhi. Nor is she as good in action roles as Rekha, Zeenat, Hema and I do not think she is capable of doing films like Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Seeta aur Geeta, Umrao jaan or Khoon bhari maang or Ghar.

She seems far better because her rivals are trash and have no looks or even bare minimum acting chops.

It is a fact. Anyone will look better compared to talentless statues like Sonam, Katrina or childish cuties like Shraddha and Alia. Or experimental types like PC who went abroad later. And Bebo kept self afloat as flowerpot in Khan films instead of doing more substantial work.

Deepika does seem way better than them and more complete as a screen idol.

I doubt where she would stand if she came in era of Kajol, Rani, Preity, Ash, Sush, Raveena, Sonali, Shilpa, Lolo, Bebo at their prime.

He was too sweet and soft spoken for that era of macho heroes like Amitabh, Dharam and Vinod or Shatru.

I do not think all his films are classics. Few sure are but not all.

Amol was a very talented actor, but he never looked “hero” material to me 😆 His movies were gems though. I still love watching them.

I think there can be. Provided if he or she has charisma and screen presence. Natural connect.

Like the way Rajinikanth is able to draw attention of even non Tamil audience to screen when he is there and people watch his antics. Star quality is elusive. It is rare but it can happen anytime again. You never know.

Celebs of old generation had a bigger reach. People used to line up for hours just to get an autograph, even if it was a small actor like Fardeen Khan. Now people have moved on and nobody cares.😆 There are too many celebs to even bother about them anymore.

Yes. He is more of someone you would watch on TV. He had no larger than life quality to especially buy tickets to see him on big screen.

He is a comfort movie type. Like dal chawal. Not unique.
