Hi Minty, I am lawyer but not in India. Did you sign a contract when you first started employment with the company. If yes, what does the contract say about termination. If it is silent on termination, then your company is breaching the contract and you could sue the company for breach of contract. If it does state that you could be terminated for a cause, then please get a employment lawyer involved since borrowing money from colleagues is unlikely to be a justified cause. Either way, you should be able to challenge this decision.
