I am not at all familiar with employment law in India but this sounds like something that should definitely not be legal.


I would consult a lawyer in such a situation.

Quoting from the suspension letter:


"In particular, money lending or borrowing activity from employees is not acceptable and considers your act of borrowing money from employees as a misconduct. Your misconduct has aroused or capable of arising severe consequences which are harmful to our reputation."
