USA has rules about strollers and Car-seat. India has no such thing. Many well to do parents have car-seats for safety in India but that would be minuscule number. And the car-seat also is designed based on Indian use. My sister-in-law had a baby and I searched few sites to gift her a stroller, couldn’t find back facing stroller at all so, gifted her front facing.

Here we have combo strollers. Baby Car-seat attaches on stroller and so we have back facing baby bassinet. Once baby grows up, you can remove the bassinet portion and stroller is front facing.

India mein itne rules hi nahi hai toh general awareness is not there. Everyone sees and buys of what is available.

Now, Aloo has best caretakers so I don’t know her case or why she and rk doesn’t know about back facing strollers.
But it could also be that she lives in India and that’s how it works there. 🤷‍♀️

Jab vamika choti thi toh anushka usko baby wrap mai wrap karke airport jati thi. Agar inko sahi stroller nahi milta toh baby wrap bhi karsakte the.

Another thing is — outside wale strollers can’t work on Indian roads. Tikau majboot stroller chahiye. 😆 I have seen Indian strollers, wheels are so sturdy.

Honestly I felt the same when I saw the pics. I have nieces and I’ve seen them from day 1. It looked odd but maybe babies grow in different sizes…
