In sociology during high school, our teacher told us that after 2030 people wouldn't even get married but prefer live in relationships instead. I can already see that coming true.

This is why I can't relate to them. Spouses having sex with themselves and other people are called 'modern' and those spouses who have sex with only each other are called 'traditional'. In my opinion these open marriages are just an excuse for living in toxic unhappy marriages. People who are not able to divorce their spouses for some reasons could be indulging in open marriages. I always see posts as to why Kajol and Twinkle are still living with their philandering husbands and this is the answer. Instead of a divorcing your philandering husband just sleep with other men and call your marriage an open marriage and people would go like Awww what a modern couple you are.

If this is happening in middle class families too that's even more problematic. They would be pretending to be happily married lovey dovey couple in front of their families and society.

It was a shock to me when I found out that people have affairs everywhere. I remember when two of my seniors were terminated due to extra marital affair. Their spouses complained to HR.

As an ex hospitality employee I have seen affairs for a lifetime. My colleagues used to sleep with each another and seniors. Married, unmarried, single and committed did not mattered to them. Some has abortions too. I was never part of this o*gy. My life became hell and I left

Guests in a hotel are another level. Some people came with new wife every Friday. Some same sex people who were couples asked for king bed only. Juniors sleeping for promotion with seniors. Families pimping their girls and wives for money and contracts. S*x with young men is offered to senior female executives too. I know some people whose wives are mistress to rich old men. Their husbands have no issues.

Some men have affair with their sister in law's too.

Most cheap guest houses and OYO rooms main customers are affair people.

This is the reason most people refuse to marry.

I don’t know anyone around me who is in open marriage. All my friends, colleagues whoever’s married they all are loyal to their spouse. I always thought this happens only in the movies but I don’t know may be my experience is limited 🤷‍♀️

Open marriage is definitely not cheating but its not a marriage actually. Why marry n why remain being married. If one has guts to sleep around than one should have guts to remain single or break a marriage.

Am not venturing into the logic or the point of it lol. I don’t see any point in it either. Just pointing out that what you comprehend an open marriage to be, isn’t that at all. And that it isn’t cheating at all either. Also, not everyone wants children when they marry. So. 🤷‍♀️

Are toh why can’t you be exclusive while chatting or dating, at least be honest to yourself and other person. Other person is probably like the same.

And you can’t judge older generations coz you didn’t live to see how it was then. Infidelity is more common now than it was before.
In all comparisons, today’s generation has the least morals and worst commitment.
