No fan of Arjun usually but he is right about this. Sadly there isn't much Bollywood can do here when the actual ruling party supports these boycott trends and pushes hateful propaganda.

Nothing is changing until we have an actual secular government back and the far right is dealt with properly (like how Americans handle their nutjobs lately, that's needed)

The actor added that all this while people in the industry have been thinking that their work will speak for them.

Work like Samrat Prithviraj? So the boycott gang stopped people from watching world class movies like Shamshera and Lal Singh Chaddha. This will motivate even more people to join the gang.😆

When we do films that do well at the box office, then at that time people like them not because of their surnames but because of the film.

How do you get those films? Of course, Arjun Kapoor isn't getting any because of his surname or family connections. He is getting it he's proved himself with his movies like Namaste England, Panipat and Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar.

What about BW folks like Taapsee and Anurag who want their movie boycotted?

I am glad Arjun got his 2 days fame like the trollers he seems to dislike.

What can Bollywood do? Its a movie industry, it can't dictate what people should think. That's on the government and media who are obviously pushing hateful propaganda and are supporting these boycott trends as well.

What's most likely is sadly that Bollywood will just start to pander to the far right. For Bollywood to return to how it was 8+ years ago India in general needs to change as well

LMAO. He makes a point and I think boycotts are indeed stupid if initiated on a stupid basis -- BUT BUT BUT

You can't be serious to think that BW was affected significantly because of boycotting versus the overall quality of the film.

Good film >>> boycotting powers is the universal law. I don't think I can recall a really good film that has been boycotted and flopped at box office.

But I look forward to the next remake sung by Neha Kakkar because thats what we need now the most ... original creativity 🤗

“According to Arjun, they made a mistake by being silent about it. While they were maintaining their dignity by being silent about it, people started taking advantage of that. The actor added that all this while people in the industry have been thinking that their work will speak for them. However, people have made this a habit now.”

Good point, Boycott trend need to be stopped. You should do something to stop this nonsense Arjun👍🏼

@bold: don’t rely on it. it’s making things more worse.

Yes so many things needed to be changed. First start from yourself Mr Kapoor. Ask your fraternity to make something worth watching and see the difference. Audience want some good content not some low quality copies of classic movies. Make something worthy so that your work will speak for you.
