I saw many comments on another forum that Brahmastra looks like a cheesy CW Network made TV show especially after looking at the loud and forced VFX in every scene .. some are calling it cartoonish or cheesy af ..

I think they are comparing with sci-fi dramas like legacies and VD 😆

Do you agree ?

I thought the vfx was good …maybe the colors were a bit tvish ..

Why you care what foreigners think? It’s not like BW movies on average make more money overseas than in India.

The kind of budget this kind of film is made with, OS collections matter a lot. It would be 60–70% of the contribution from overseas. Then only it will make some profit, else it will be a loss.

But he didn’t say overseas, he said foreign which implies non-Desi audience which is a silly thing to hope for because besides the desi diaspora who even watches BW movies regularly

I agree, but this film is made with a global audience in mind, with all that VFX, so the makers are hoping that non-desi viewers will also go for it.

Bollywood is big in Russia and China already. They want to go farther. Nothing wrong in it.

Russia, China.

Hollywood caters to Chinese political opinion. Bollywood is also trying to reach new audience. At the end of the day, it's also a business. So their bad opinion can hit the producers in the wallet.

Both Raj Kapoor and Mithun Da had a huge fan following in Russia. I think in today's time, that kind of craze is rare to see.
