Rip.

My question is why were they given so much security and why were the security removed.

These are actors, singers and atheletes or is it because they support and are a part of a political party.

I don't know about Punjab politics that is why I am asking

Gangwar took another life. When will this end? Few months back International Kabbadi player was shot dead in daylight. This is really saddening.

Which person told you it was "Gangwar"?

Do you remember the official source or link or any indication where I can see such verified information?

Because as far as I am aware 99.99% of whatever has been written about his death is speculation at best, and propaganda at worst.

I have seen the types of "groups" of people who have been pushing and pushing the "omg punjab gang wars" "gun culture epidemic" false narrative - who do you think it serves? Is it credible? What were other factors?

The fact that he was a very VOCAL and INFLUENTIAL musical star was without a shadow of a doubt a VERY BIG THREAT to certain other powerful influential "people" in the country. Thinking of the top most ranks. The types that set you up with reduced security just weeks after your political career hits an unprecedented and sudden new height. And hire a drive by 24 hours after they removed your bulletproof car and security regime. Any type of RISK ASSESSMENT would have indicated that this man's life was under threat and they just brutally murdered him.

AND THIS IS THE SCARIEST PART:

The videos circulating online of him just after he was shot, show a bunch of suspicious looking men, poking and prodding him, they drag his lifeless body out of the car and drop him in the floor and then drag his body across the ground without any care or caution, all the while PRETENDING to be concerned about him, it was obviously guys that were there to check that he was dead for sure and then they wanted to HUMILIATE him even after he was dead by doing all this. There's another video of Sidhu lying on a hospital bed, and there's again dodgy looking guys, not wearing any medical attire or gloves or anything surgical, they have pulled Sidhu's trousers exposing his underpants, just completely dehumanising a man that was just violently murdered. It's all just so sick. I can't believe it. I personally just discovered him as an artist in April!!! And I instantly was in awe at the brilliance of his craft and diverse set of songs he amassed in such a short span of time. 💔

Was he not able to afford his own security.

Really?? I mean, let's ignore the ignorance for a second. And focus on the fact that you seem to have some issue of contention with a so-called "private citizen" being afforded security which would have saved his god damn life?? but at the expense of taxpayer's money??

So hmm, if you have a moment, I'd love to hear those things you think money should be spent on if not protecting life itself.

And by the way, he is not a private citizen.

He is an official politician.

As well as a culturally significant and globally influential musician.

And by law politicians are bestowed with certain security privileges, it's part of the job anyway, and it's supposed to be risk-assessed so obviously if there's some issue or controversy, the person at risk's security is usually bumped up.

So it's baffling that at this moment in time when he is at his peak and climbing the government instead of increasing they REMOVED most of his security allocation AND ADVERTISED IT ONLINE (the list of people affected was LEAKED) which further put him at increased danger. The whole thing is just so so nasty and grim. I am typing this and my arms feel so weighty. I feel abhorred by the human race right now.

And there's more.

He is someone who was on the cusp of possibly being a major major player in numerous positive changes for millions of citizens because of his new role as well as the already MASSIVE following he has gained in less than 5 years since he put out his first track.

The position he was in was actually more significant than I think many people even realise. But we will definitely see the consequences now. People are going to be very enraged about how this whole thing played out. It's a huge injustice. The man was the VOICE of the PEOPLE. He had the kind of adulation and reach that very few famous people attain.

To put it briefly, his murder signifies the triumph of evil over goodness. There is a much wider impact upon society because of what he represented and attained. There could very well be riots and protests. Because I am pretty sure the police are going to continue to F up their already shoddy investigation - watching the press briefing was triggering.

Globally: Who was the last person to put an Indian music genre on the world map? Maybe AR Rahman 2 decades ago, but Sidhu was only just beginning, plus Rahman didn't have the cultural significance nor the political voice.

Then there's the momentum he was on, it's wild, right on the verge of really becoming an enormous force globally. And his LYRICS are what makes him so iconic and idolised. There is a reason why 'Voice of a Generation' is used so rarely, it takes a whole lot of talent, personality and inner strength to even attempt it, not many do, he took the risk, voiced his opinions on CORRUPTION, unfair treatment, and although we don't know yet who was behind this exactly, it's obvious that he had to be taken out, so it may well have been a collaborative effort.

Anyway, here's a song about his mama

My favourite artist. Your music will continue to live on forever... rest in power, LEGEND ❤

Sucks he won't be able to see his track with Drake being released, he truly put us Punjabis on the map 😩 He started the type of music we all listen to now, a true inspiration and influence on our youth.

Oh fantastic. Well I'm glad the investigation is finally over.

I mean, I thought it could be a possible. But just wanted to wait patiently for official news because otherwise it's literally just speculation.

Lots, lots and lots of speculation, and prediction, and conspiracy theories, and false news, and falsely accused. Resulting in another great big toxic mess, which we should have avoided.
