Just watched the movie on 83 and its such a beautiful movie. It not just gives lessons on patriotism but also teaches people how they should overcome their weaknesses, stay strong, fight till the end and never give up. The makers shouldn't have released it in cinema halls and instead released it on web long ago. It's a lovely movie.

which platform is it on ?

I don’t think that’s the case, the majority that have watched 83 have loved it, it’s getting a fantastic response on OTT, many are regretting not watching it in the cinema, I think covid was the biggest factor that effected the film, it shouldn’t have released at that time. I mean big movies like RRR changed their release date because of it.

And yes the budget was too high, but I strongly feel that if it had released in the summer it would have made a lot more money

How come pushpa and spiderman were doing great at the same time?

The social media is not the majority. The same thing happened with lootera. On the internet, it seemed like a masterpiece. In reality, most of the people didn't like it.

honestly the majority of people who have seen it have said they love the film, I watched the FDFS videos of people who watched it in India and all of the people who came out of the theatre said they enjoyed the film.

Also when 83 released the theatres started to shut down, all of the theatres in Delhi shut down which was a key city for collections, majority of theatres in India closed, and the cities where theatres weren’t closed they were running at only 50% occupancy, pushpa and Spider-Man had the advantage of all of the theatres being open when they released. How can people expect 83 to collect a lot when most people weren’t even able to watch it in the theatre.

83 was the highest grossing Indian film overseas last year, that shows that that the movie connected with people, and even with the majority of theatres shutting in India it still managed to collect over 100 crs

Lootera was a slow film, ranveer and Sonakshi were quite new at the time, and it’s more of a niche film.

You can take the to remote off my hand, turn on the TV, put my favorite food in front of me and I still wouldn’t watch it. Looks like a gigantic bore

83 is a well made movie. Put ur apprehensions aside and watch it..u will definitely like it. Not at all a bore fest. At least one time watch. I saw on the big screen and thoroughly enjoyed.

Haven't watched lootera yet..read 'The last leaf' and don't know how it could've stretched into a 3 hr long movie. U people recommend?
