She was not studious or a good student so must have found less favour with studious and high scoring kids. And some may have avoided her as she is daughter of Prakash Padukone and people often feel intimidated by kids of famous parents.

Nowhere does interview imply Deepika had no friends due to her looks. Frankly she looked quite ordinary earlier and had darker skin which she got lightened later when she became a model.

She never looked extra ordinary in school days for sure.

Pompous is definitely the right word.

The problem with that line of thinking is Deepika wasn’t a knockout in school so all of what you just said holds no water. And please no beauty is subjective BS. There’s no subjectivity when it comes to hormonal teenagers

Deepika is so bad at stringing two sentences together, i think she didn't have friends because of her watery personality, and maybe because she didn't know how to interact normally.
