My parents say that I used to say while I was a kid that someone is sitting on fan, someone is trying to feed me biscuits etc.
I can't recall completely but have faded memory about the same
Kids have a vivid imagination. They are adept at building imaginary worlds and come up with inventive unbelievable storytelling. Their brains have not fully developed the concept of reality vs fantasy yet and they often conflate the two.
There is nothing spooky or otherworldly of a child saying they see someone or are interacting with someone. Most imagine worlds around them and believe them to be very real.

Okay one more. I want to hear your scary stories if you have any (😂).
When I was 18, I had travelled to United States to visit my mothers side of the family. All her siblings and children live there. I was at my uncles house, which is renowned for being haunted. Everyone knows about it and has personally experienced creepy shit happening to them. When we were staying at my uncles, all my aunts and cousins also decided to sleep over. The house was a huge double storey with 6 bedrooms. There was like 3-4 people sleeping in each room, with most of my guy cousins sleeping downstairs in the living room.
The first night went by just fine with no dramas. In the morning, my eldest cousin approached and begged me to sleep in her room tonight because apparently the night before when she was sleeping next to her daughter, the light suddenly turned off. The light was those floor lamps where you have to twist the knob anti-clockwise to dim or turn off the light. So basically you can’t turn off the light unless the power goes out or someone manually turns it off.

So I agreed and took my younger cousin with me. Basically there was now four people in the same room. My eldest cousin and her daughter were snoring away peacefully while my younger cousin and I were awake chatting while we laid next to each other. The floor of the house is made from wood. We were literally laying at my eldest cousins foot, with the bedroom door on our right. My cousin who was next to me was directly next to the wardrobe as well. Now imagine that behind the wardrobe there was no wall, then directly behind the wall is the staircase. Here is a rough picture to illustrate it for you. 😂
So it was around 2-3:00am and we were chatting when suddenly the floor lamp turned off. Both of us dived underneath the blanket and started screaming, waking my elder cousin up. She groggily got up and switched the light back on, muttering that we were such chickens (The shameless audacity of her complaining when she forced us to sleep in this room because of the same reason!)
Anyway, we laughed it off even though we were kind of spooked and started chatting again. That’s when we heard a tapping sound on the staircase. It sounded like a long fingernail tapping on the wooden stair with the slow rhythm of 1 2 3 4 5 (like water dripping from the tap). We both went quiet to better hear the sound. Then it was as if the thing started using both hands and began to drum all their fingernails onto the wood. At the same time, the wardrobe right next to us started to shake and we both started screaming. My eldest cousin woke up and said we were both dreaming, brushing off our experience. If I had heard this alone then fair enough but my younger cousin experienced/heard the exact same thing. Plus we weren’t even sleeping. There’s no explanation how the wardrobe inside the bedroom started to shake as well. Obviously everything stopped once we started screaming but this still terrifies me to this day.
Authors note (Yes I’m a writer now)
I just realised how dedicated and bothered I was to draw the bloody scenario and upload it on imgur just to post it here. 😂
That reminds me of the Goosebumps series (Have you read those? ) Must have been exciting. And its so cool to have an uncle whose house is haunted. You can always make plans to visit your cousins and get that . "Is it going to get me this time ? " rush.
Love the illustration 🤣.

Definitely read them as a child. It’s even more fun because he lives around 2 hours away from the rest of the family, so when they go to visit him, everyone sleeps over. There’s like 20-30 people in one house. My guy cousins won’t even go to the toilet alone. Everyone has to go saath saath 😆

Sleep Paralysis Stories
Definition: Sleep paralysis is a temporary inability to move that occurs right after falling asleep or waking up. Individuals remain aware during episodes, which frequently involve terrifying hallucinations.
- My first experience was like a horror movie. I was asleep, dreaming that I’m in a dark bedroom and all I could see was the silhouette of the devil (it had horns). The devil then pushes me and I fall back onto the bed and he places his hand over my chest, which starts to suffocate me. This is when I wake up and my whole body is paralysed, I can’t move but I’m wide awake. The pressure is still on my chest and I can’t breathe. I’m trying to cry out and move but I can’t even talk. Somehow I snap out of it and wake up. The next day I googled it and realised that this experience is common and tried to focus on the scientific explanation rather than cultural beliefs which say sleep paralysis happens because a demon is sitting on your chest (FCUK THAT).
I think I am having chest pain after reading this

The first one had scientific explanations so basically, you didn’t even read any real paranormal stories. Now hurry up and ruin your sleep. You’ll miss out on my amazing illustration skills done for the third story.
