I like Akshay but it's about damn time he started doing age-appropriate roles. This CGI face is just not working for me...smiley39

The age-gap between actors and actresses is increasing year by year, and it has gone to the point where it is downright disgusting.🤢

I mean what's going to be next?
Akshay to star opposite Harshali Malohotra OR Aradhya Bacchan in next few years???🤪

Meanwhile people loose their sh** just at the possibility of an actress like Vidya Balan starring opposite an actor who could be a few years younger.

Still remember how Kareena was called "too old" when she was cast opposite Arjun Kapoor in Ki and Ka.🤪 And don't even get me started on how brutally Priyanka-Nick's pairing is made fun off on SM.

These are some real eye-rolling moments for me, precisely because of the hypocrisy of the audience.

If it was the other way around - the heroine is 30 years older than the hero, we would get pairings like this:

- Rekha (1954) and Arjun Kapoor (1985)

- Madhuri Dixit (1967) and Aryan Khan (1997)

- Jaya Bachchan (1948) and Hrithik Roshan (1974)

There's a huge dichotomy between what people say and what they actually do. Online wokes love to virtue signal about how older actresses should be cast but they don't actually watch their movies. These age gap relationships wouldn't be happening on screen if people actually paid to watch the older actresses. If they had a fan base, they would definitely be used.

It's a simple case of supply and demand. BW would definitely respond and give you the movies and pairings you want if there was an actual demand for them. It's not like they cast these younger actresses for no reason. They do it because they think it's more viable commercially.

issliye...nepotism ke liye itna uchhalne ki zaroorat nahi hai....jisko mauka milega woh karega...😆

What do you want to hear?

Of course Nupur Sanon is a product of nepotism.

But if she's talentless she would get called out.

How do you know what "online wokes" do in their daily life?

OK I am confused.....what are you guys against.?? Is it age gap in pairing of actors....or is people not accepting older woman with a younger man while vice versa is acceptable?

So if the latter was also acceptable you wouldn't have a problem with an older man and younger woman pairing??

again...we as a society are responsible for older woman and younger man being a taboo....it is not the movies...they show us what we as a society decide is good or bad....a husband should be older than wife....is a societal norm.....change it...who is stopping it....but the way to change is not to make an older man and young woman pairing a taboo....decide toh karo....ki what is it exactly that you want...😆

A Grandpa romancing a 20 something girl ain't a societal norm. It's a taboo as well.

But audience is more than happy to watch it onscreen so it's clear misogyny.

The older stars look very bad now that’s why it cringeworthy for them to romance younger actresses. It didn’t look so bad in the 2000s when they were around 40 and still romanced upcoming actresses then like Kareena,Priyanka, Katrina etc . Also except few cases an older man- younger woman looks far better onscreen. For example, Salman looked much better with Aish or Karishma who are almost 10 yrs younger compared to Madhuri or Sridevi who just have 2 years age difference.

So is a GrandMa romancing a 20 something year old....why are you angry that people don't accept it???

I am talking about real life not reel though....I personally don't care people 50 years apart romancing each other as long as the younger one is an adult and its consensual....who cares what you and I think...

BTW your reasoning is flawed .....its not a grandfather romancing a 20 year old on screen....their characters are not supposed to be 55...they are supposed to be younger.....that they don't look younger and that messes up the pairing is a genuine casting goof up.....so criticize the actor of wanting to look younger and failing at doing that....what has age gap to do anything with acting....if a 50 year old can look like a 30 year old....of course he can romance a 25 year old....

I am still not getting the anger.....is it people being more accepting of an older male and not an older female....or is it the age gap.....if its the age gap....stop whining about people not accepting older woman with a younger man....that shouldn't be the criterion....if you want no age gap....it should be for both men and women..
