Which character did you empathise with more in Cocktail?

I think Meera was misjudged by everyone who sympathized with Veronica. She kissed Gautam in the heat of the moment and immediately regretted it. She even sacrificed her love and moved back to India.

Veronica was a good soul, but she was also a hypocrite. She herself entered into a no-strings-attached arrangement with Gautam, but started playing victim the moment he chose another girl over her. I don't get the hue and cry over her supposed "victimhood".

Veronica.. Gautam tou was anyway blah but imagine being betrayed by your best friend, a friend you took in when she had no where else to go.. even if Veronica wasn't serious about Gautam would you get romantically involved with a guy who you have seen being intimate with your sister like friend.. at least wait a while lady😆 Meera and gautak's relationship was just creepy

I personally liked Veronica a lot more than Meera. Yes, she fell in love with Gautam and maybe that wasn't on the cards, but such things do happen. Even situationships can lead to emotions, even if it's only one of the parties involved who harbour feelings for the other.

Meera on the other hand is not completely unlikeable either. She did move out when she realised things were serious on Veronica's part.

Both characters had their flaws, but actually I ended up disliking the guy more than anyone else.

Veronica. Meera is a backstabber and a shit friend.

I genuinely sympathised with Veronica.

While I completely understand that things may happen in the heat of the moment, I'm having a cognitive dissonance in this case because I'm also a firm believer of bro code 😆 As in idk if you've all watched Friends but while I'm aware that Rachel had moved on from her Chip Matthews phase, Monica later dating him made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

I don't dislike any of the two girls in Cocktail because their situations can be understood when you consider them individually, but I personally feel more for Veronica, especially since she's always been misunderstood because of the sl*t image that she has - which is probably why Gautam couldn't envision the long-term thing with her. Also, try putting yourself in her shoes (side note: her shoes in Angrezi Beat were gorgeous btw) and imagine your best friend kissing/hooking up with the guy you're in love with. It's devastating.

Yes those hot pink ones, with the full, golden heels 🤩 Plus Deepika's tattoo and gorgeous legs accentuated the whole look!

It's never about Gautam cheating over Veronica but her supposed BFF whom she not only gave shelter & support but trusted on, cheating with her Boyfriend.

Gautam falling in love with Meera was something I hadn't envisioned at all the first half of the movie. He was this slimy guy who flirted with anything in a skirt and didn't even spare Meera when he spotted her randomly at the airport in the beginning.

The two falling in love was a bit unexpected even for the audience and a bigger shocker for poor Veronica. I only started getting an inkling that it's headed that way after his mother visits them and Meera plays his gf cuz she was the kinda girl a guy would wanna take home to mommy.

I empathized with both in a way ... cuz they were victims of their circumstances. Meera didn't try to steal him on purpose, it just happened. Veronica didn't mean to fall in love with Saif, that just happened too. Saif ended up looking like this stud with whom both of them couldn't help but fall in love.😆

I enjoyed the movie, it was definitely entertaining. As an afterthought, what I don't like is how a sleazy flirt like Saif is such a coveted character and how the "good girl" suddenly turns him into a loopy mess while the one who took him for what he actually is, ends up pining for him.
