So they were supposed to hide everything from Veronica? That would be worse. Also, fact is both Gau and Meera loved each other. Ishk par zor nahin chalta, you cannot control the heart, only your actions. Were they supposed to hide their love from each other all their lives and pretend to be okay in front of Veronica? How does that make any sense?
Also,Veronica herself pretended to be all okay with it, are you forgetting that?
Veronica was lovable, but also very immature as a person. There's no harm in accepting that, right?
No.. they were supposed to give it time.. Gautam should have broken with Veronica.. moved out.. waited for a while and then pursued Meera if he wanted.. it's all about the timing.. you literally blind sided a girl telling her you fell in love with her best friend and expect her to be fine with it.. let her handle one thing at a time.. If they were really in love, they would still have been in love even with some time apart
She literally pretended for like one day and couldn't survive that day without falling apart.. so what's your point?
Lastly, her maturity has nothing to do with this scenario... She wasn't the one wrong in this situation.. and of course she was immature.. a mature person will never let a stranger share their house

You didn't understand my point. I said, if Meera and Gautam decided to suppress their love and pretend before Veronica that everything was okay, then it would be a bigger betrayal.
Then it would look like they were "sneaking around behind her back".
And no matter how much time they gave after the breakup, Veronica would throw a fit whenever she came to know of it. Even then she would accuse Meera of "stealing" Gautam from her.
Also, what exactly was betrayal to you? Falling in love with Gautam, OR just informing Veronica about it? Which of these two are you terming a "betrayal", exactly?
Let's be clear on that first.

I didnt want them to supress their feelings.. I wanted them to think more about how they approach Veronica
As for how Veronica would have reacted, that's assumption I cant make...
Betrayal was not being considerate of her feelings.. betrayal was letting Gautam have that talk with Veronica and dump it all on her at the same time.. Betrayal was not trying to at least find out beforehand where Veronica stood.. and yes, the kiss was a betrayal too..
Veronica most definitely. I am a firm believer in the girl code. You cannot just date your closest friend's boyfriend/FWB. Whether they were serious or not is out of question, but it is breaking the code. Veronica basically got Meera out of a terrible crisis and made her independent. If I were in Meera's place, I would have first never felt that way about Gautam. Because I could find love elsewhere, but I would never find another friend like Veronica and that's not worth jeopardising.
And my life experience is that girls like Veronica are much more genuine and real. They are who they are and they won't be hypocrites for society. They do what they do to protect and numb their vulnerable self. But when they meet genuine people and finally open up, they are wonderful.

Meera tried her best to stop Gautam from having the talk, but he didn't listen. How was that her fault? And when Gautam was saying everything to Vero, Meera immediately got up and said, "I will never come between you and Gautam." Then she turned to Gautam and said, "Told you this wasn't a good idea".
Right? And the kiss happened in the heat of the moment. Meera was drunk then.
And if you remember, Veronica told Meera umpteen times that "Yeh Gautams to aate jaate rahenge, but tum to permanent ho", implying that she wasn't serious.
What I'm trying to say is, nothing Meera did suggested that she wasn't considerate of Veronica. Everything that happened was Gautam fault, though he too wasn't wrong in falling in love with Meera.

Not everyone prioritizes friendship over love. Different people have different priorities. Right?
For you, friendship is more important. For others, love might trump friendship any day.

Veronica told that to Meera literally in the beginning of the relationship with Gautam. least Meera could have done is find out if things had changed before blind siding the girl
Yes, she "tried" to stop Gautam but couldn't be firm with him.. she gave him a clear indication that if Veronica was fine, she would be willing to go ahead with him without ever talking to Veronica herself first.. A girl-girl talk was the need of the time and someone as "mature" as Meera should have known that
Thats what every cheater says to their partner.. I didn't mean for it to happen baby.. it was a moment.. I was drunk..
As for Gautam, he was a typical male.. and a cheapo one at that so no comments on him
I don't know about empathy, but I was sad that they didn't had a steamy threesome.

But in this case, they WERE drunk. It was not simply an excuse. When you're drunk you let your feelings come to the fore, like it happened with Veronica at the bar that night.
Bold: And what's wrong with that? All she needed was to make sure Veronica was fine with it. And she backed off the moment she knew she was not fine. If Meera wanted to betray her then she would've run off with Gautam and not give a single f$ck about Veronica. As simple as that.

Exactly . You let your FEELINGS come to the forefront.. implying Meera had feelings for Gautam even before the kiss and when Gautam was actively in a relationship with Veronica.. and being drunk is the most pathetic excuse one can give for cheating
No.. All she needed was give Veronica sometime and not jump into it with Gautam the moment Veronica gave her blessings.. a true friend would have waited for some time and actually tried to find out how her friend actually felt
