I think Kareena just wanted it more. Acting seems like a passion for her. I saw her recently in Angrezi Medium where she has this small role of a hardened cop. She didn't need to do it - she has plenty of other work. But she does these types of things because she truly enjoys acting IMO.

Agreed. Also Kareena is a much bigger star than Saif, who although was successful in his own right, was never quite No 1 like Kareena was when she got together with him. She is still properly A +++ list whereas Saif's career has always been up and down, although he is equally talented.
