Prabhas as Ram? lol - Page 5

Some things to remember:

1. Ram lived in Iron Age or even before. There was no Hindi. Even Sanskrit as we know it didn't exist as Panini hadn't been born yet. Of the closest languages to classical Sanskrit, Telugu is one, which Prabhas speaks.

2. Ram (and Krishna) were dark-skinned and described as lotus-eyed. From what angle does Hrithik appear dark-skinned or lotus-eyed?

3. Ram was 39 as per Valmiki Ramayan by the time war came around. If the focus is on war, then Prabhas is the perfect age.

The pining for Hrithik as Ram is still understandable because the rumor has been going around for some time, and he does look yummy even if he doesn't fit the character profile. The comment about Prabhas not speaking Hindi and the addition of Ranveer to the list make it clear the thread is based on thinly veiled bigotry.

I don't understand how casually people here call actors ugly on basis of their looks. Prabhas ain't some Greek god but he is not ugly like people here are calling him. To me he does looks like a miscast as Ram because I feel he is bit too old and his age shows. Also Lord Ram has to be clean shaven because I have never seen any Hindu God with a beard or stubble. In fact the casting of this movie is very weird.. Sanon as Sita and Saif as Raavan looks like a joke too. Haven't seen much of Sunny to comment on him.. However I still am excited to see how this movie turns out just because I always wanted to see Hindu mythologies on big screen with bigger budget.

And anyway one thing all sources agree on about Ram is that he was dark...

How would any super fair actor be more suitable (looks wise), regardless of how good they are??

I don't know about 'acting' since I am not at all familiar with his body of work but better looking? Please! That is totally subjective because there's no way in hell that someone as unattractive as Ranveer is better looking than a Prabhas because Ranveer scores very very low in the looks department! I will never ever understand how Ranveer even became a mainstream star in the shallow world of Bollywood and that too with HIS face

I mean just face it! Ranveer has been cursed with a face that only a mother could love....

But I agree that looks are subjective and everyone has different tastes. For me, Prabhas is 100x more uglier 😆

you must be trolling... Ranveer is not Hrithik or Brad Pitt but the dude is definitely good looking... Prabhas looks like an extra not a leading actor
