This forum had fans of male stars-they enthusiastically promoted them and posted numbers. Now they don't.Nor do the fans of senior heroines.Zabardasti threads are opened to attract fans..or to hype their own (Kjo's kitty). This forum is of no use to VD fans,Tiger fans,Ayushmann fans..Kartik fans..no one.there was a time RS fans descended here, thinking that they got support. But here, it was always about DP..and then using Alia as a stick or balm. They all left. Some are here..but they are not interested in other male stars..Kartik has got them interested to a certain extent.

But you know..It has been more than a decade..nothing went as supporters of this kitty wanted or worked and work so hard for.

You know why? support is needed only for those who need it.The needy need I-F.But I-F doesn't give back anything.

My favorite quote in this forum by me..jo darr gaya, woh marr gaya.

I open more threads on DP because I absolutely adore her. I don't adore Ranbir that much.

For me Deepika>Ayushmann>Ranbir and my threads are also in that order.

Nepotism has always existed in some form over the years. Bollywood started out as a family business after all. But Karan took it beyond all permissible limits when he started curating Alia's career. I don't mean starting her career with SOTY1. But using his connections to get films like Highway for her when she did not have the skills to do justice to them. And influencing all kinds of media and getting industrywallahs to sing paens about her 'talent'. Luckily she made the most of her opportunities and learned her craft really well. But he's doing the same thing with Jahnvi today.

On the other side of the coin we have the 'outsider' actresses haven't graduated from starlets to fullfledged stars either. Kriti, Yami, Bhumi,Kartik Aryan are all doing well. But they haven't fully utilized their opportunities to improve their craft either even though they have networked and made valuable contacts. My hope is with the next generation- whether they be insiders or outsiders. I'll give them 5-6 films to learn the ropes. Even the 80s and 90s actresses needed that much. The only difference being that their films came out every couple of months. So audience easily forgot their initial bad performances since the better ones came out soon enough. Consider Poonam Dillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Amrita Singh and even Madhuri.

Even likes of Kriti and Anushka don't have that many endorsements now forget about when they were as new in industry as these three.

tbh that's more got to do with budget cuts than nepotism. Don't know about Kriti but Anushka is a top actress. Look at the brands the new girls are a part of. Chumbak, Naykaa, Fanta, etc. They can easily spend less on the newer starkids knowing they don't have to worry much about money and saath mein they will get the visibility of their TG since it's the same as that of these young starkids. They would had to shell out a bomb if they approached established outsiders who would assure them brand visibility but with increase in budgets. Hence they opt for the young affordable starkids. None of them endorse premium brands that established outsiders like Anushka, Priyanka, Deepika do.

And even the trend of getting newer starkids for less is fading thanks to instagram influencers. They get to spend even less and reach peak visibility by tie ups with these influencers.

This is an open forum not a private hub. Your topic will be free for all to comment. You don't have to specifically tell me whether it's your last reply. I don't care if you reply to me or not so you're free to do whatever you feel like. Please avoid me completely and stop quoting me then. If you quote I'll obviously reply. How simple can it be? 🤷‍♂️

You attacked me without provocations, so maybe I need to drill a little common sense and basic ethics into you.

I never attacked you. I can't help if you're so immature to think of it as an attack. I gave an example of this very forum and about yourself since you opened this topic and specifically said it's killing business without any facts or numbers. Not are you a part of the showbiz to know how things actually work and on what basis producers invest money. So common sense says when you don't know about things, don't talk about it without giving factual figures. That's the reason why I only commented and quoted the 'killing business' part and not your whole post. Maybe next time get into trade circles, meet theatres and distributors and learn how things work.

Making topics is not equal to endorsing them. I saw my topics on Nepotism kids, and most of them are criticising them.

So you don't have to endorse the topic you make. The very fact that you continue talking about them is helping in the buzz. That's what PR wants. Buzz. Doesn't matter if it's negative or positive. For example the Gangubai teaser topic alone (not made by you) saw so much engagement after months in the forum. That's what producers and people investing money look at- engagement. Jo dikhta hai woh bikta hai. Simple.

Perhaps you need to read what is inside the topics.😈

No thanks, I'd rather opt for slow and painful death 👍🏼

Varun has 7 hit films as lead hero in his 8 year old career.

Again nope!!! He has 5 Hits out of 13 films in his filmography

Shraddha has 7 hit films as leading heroine in her 10 year old career.

7 Hits out of 17 films in her filmography.

Tiger has 4 hits including a superhit and a BB in his 7 year old career.

But he also has 3 Flops. See the full picture.

Janhvi's debut film was a superhit and Gunjan got good TRPs on Zee Cinema given how many times they do a world premiere across their network channels.

TRPs mean jackshit, otherwise outsider Vidyut Jamwal is a Superstar because all his movies generate huge ratings on television.

Ananya has 1 hit film in her 2 year old career.

Along with 2 flops, which means Annipie did 3 films in just 2 years of her career.

Sanya Malhotra has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 5 year old career.

Fatima Sana Shaikh has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 5 year old career.

Interestingly you ignored Dangal and Badhaai Ho from Fatima and Sanya's filmography. Probably because you think they don't deserve credit for the success of these films.

But you think Ananya Pandey deserves credit for the success of PPAW?

Maybe for Dangal they don't deserve credit since it has Aamir, but Ayushmann and Kartik have same bankability. So if Sanya doesn't get credit for Badhaai Ho, neither does Ananya for PPAW.

Radhika Madan has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 3 year old career.

Avinash Tewary has 0 hit films as a leading hero in his 5 year old career.

If you think Fatima and Sanya don't deserve credit for the success of Dangal and Badhaai Ho.....then Sanya has done only two films Patakha and Photograph as "leading heroine" in her career.

Fatima has done NOTHING because she only has Dangal and Thugs Of Hindostan in her filmography, both films starring Superstar Aamir which would absolve her from sharing any credit or blame for the success or failure of these films.

Avinash Tewary has done nothing after his debut in Laila Majnu.

Now tell me,

how much promotion and hype Varun and Alia's debut film SOTY, or or Tiger's debut Heropanti, or Janhvi's debut film Dhadak got compared to a Laila Majnu or Patakha?

Why Sanya has done only two films as a "leading heroine" in her 5 year long career?

Why Fatima has done no solo projects in her 5 year long career?

Why Avinash Tewary got nothing after Laila Majnu?

Star-kids are no hallmark to success. They have equal number of failures compared to their success, and you only cherry picked successful star-kids to make your point. There are failed star-kids as well like Sooraj Pancholi and Harshvardhan Kapoor.

Outsiders like Fatima and Sanya get nothing but bread crumbs in the name of films unless they are connected to someone powerful in the industry.

"Audience only wants to watch star-kids and not outsiders" is nothing but a false notion created by fans of nepo-kids.

Star-kid or outsider, anyone can make connect with the audience, but they need the right chances and platform for it, and most of the time only star-kids get that chance.

Most of the time only movies of star-kids get big hype, promotion and large number of screens to get an actual shot at being a Hit.

A movie like Photograph would Flop even if it stars Salman Khan.

In today's world you need PR to be visible among millions of faces compitiing for same position. This happens in corporate world and Bollywood. You need internal connection to kill the compition.

True a new star kid would never be signed by big brands. Even politically connected Kangana does not get big endorsement like her contemporaries. It depends on star value and ability to carry a movie on their shoulder.

Star value? What star value does Ananya have to be brand ambassador of Lakme after her first film which was a disappointment at box office? It's all their smartly curated PR and fake hype that make them seem like "next superstars".. To check what audience actually admires give exactly same PR budget and opportunities to other outsiders. Y'all see it this way: Brand and big banners chose them because they are popular and bankable but maybe it's other way round.. They become popular and bankable because only they get to work with big banners and brands while outsiders are left picking left overs.
