What makes me really sad is that our Indian courts are actually backlogged. There are about 33 million cases pending and even if no fresh case is filed, it will actually take around 300 years to get through the backlog.

Among these will be cases which are genuine, where middle class people have been robbed or tenants have illegally encroached or parents have been mistreated or even spouses have been assaulted but none of them will make it because cases like this get attention.

Some fictional movie said something about a mythological character, real people with real problems are in more need of our judicial system.

When i agree suing ppl like this is stupid but what did Saif expect?? He will get away after making such sexist and misogynist comment?? Like no you cant justify the crime against women..

And why are some people bending backwards to defend a rich ass dumb af celeb who doesn't give a damn about you 😆 he's rich this won't affect him anyways..

I'm curious. Why aren't people going after the script writer of Adipursh? He's the one who wrote the story that Saif literally just explained. Easier target?

Saif has become a grumpy old uncle, with nothing going on in his career so just making attention seeking statements.

Adipursh, Bhoot Police, Tandav, Tanhaji, Jawani Jaaneman

All projects either released this year, completed or starting. The reason he's getting the "opportunity" to make statements is because he's getting interviewed due to these projects. Aka, this one being for Adipursh.

simple ! They will go after script writer after the movie releases . Who asked Saif be a lose tongue ? That too he claims to be a historian.

If it’s in the script , saif should not apologize. Why will prabhas do a movie that makes raavan look good ? The film does not ride on saif in the first place ...

Again, they asked him about his role in Adipursh. He's the one playing the role of raavan. And if he explained his role in the movie, I don't think he should be the one to be held responsible. The reality is that celebs are soft targets. No one will go after the writer. After the celeb it'll be director, possibly. But in this case, Om Raut is completely spared. He's the director

And FYI, Saif has openly talked about how Salman Rushdie was persecuted and threatened for speaking up against Islam and the poor guy had to flee the country. He also has named Rushdie as one of his favorite authors or books he reads

What has it got to do with Rushdie ? If some muslim guy’s sentiment is hurt then he can also file a case .

What are you saying - no one can take offense to watever saifeena says ? No one can go the legal route ? Or since saif said something against Rushdie that gives him free pass to go after other religious figures?

You cannot say what people should do or feel or even not to take legal action . You can condemn if boundaries are crossed and resort to violence and harm .

remember what Kareena said - people have no jobs and resorting to online trolling ... this jobless guy got himself one. It won’t effect saif in any way ... he will get his crores . Let’s all sleep well on that fact .

I personally don't think it's right to sue someone for their opinion, even on religious matter. We can't do that here in the state under freedom of speech.

You can call him out for his opinion or discuss it or disagree.

i know about States... i live here...and the ridiculous lawsuits that gets filed here .

India- indians will do within the rights the indian constitution grants and the others will do based on theirs.

forget this matter, if it comes to your personal opinion...u will never think anything that saifeena does is wrong. Hope the opinion u have is not shaped post saif comments...
