It seems like a classic case of gaslighting. They were in a relationship, he promised her moon and stars. She believed him and when the time came, he rejected her. Kicked her out and called her crazy. This is what happens with a lot of men - this hot and cold behaviour, giving breadcrumbs and when women get serious, they tell her that she is being crazy. If he had no intentions of marrying her, he should have told her. She had to run away because otherwise she would have been forcefully married to the guy she didn't love. Ayushman was definitely at wrong. If he did not wanted to marry her, he could have told her and atleast should have made sure that she went home safe or had a safe place to live.

He never made commitment. He never said anything about marriage. Geet was the one who was serious about the relationship. Anshuman was not. We don't know if he told her about him not being serious about their relationship before she ran away from home.

He also told her many times to go back home, but not going back was again her decision. Geet was an adult who should know how take care of herself. Anshuman is not her babysitter.

Whatever it is they were in a relationship, you can't change that it's not that he rejected to be in a relationship with her. Geet isn't at fault here so why should she apologize to him?

Geet should've apologized for ditching Anshuman when he was ready to marry her.

It's been a long time I haven't watched that Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, so don't remember anything except the main story to pick apart anything about Aditi's character if you are expecting me to do that.😆

😆 it was just her dialogue that amused me where she says dhatt yaar apne liye galat ladke chuna aur tere liye ghalat ladki. Meghna was not a ghalat ladki just because they were not sure about their feeling, they hurted her (not wantedly) but saying her ghalat ladki was thoda sa off

If my boyfriend acted like Geet, I'd certainly put a restraining order on him.

Yeah, Geet was forcefully trying to impose herself on Anshuman. If it was a guy doing that to a girl, people would've blamed him. But Geet gets sympathy here and Anshuman becomes the jerk.

Anshuman was not serious about the relationship, and not one to entertain Geet's childish ways. Infact Geet herself was not really all that in love with Anshuman. She was in love with this fantasy of having a filmy romance where the girl and the guy run away and get married. Obviously reality isn't a film and she gets a rude shock when Anshuman turns her down.

Anshuman's main fault is not rejecting Geet or turning her down. His main fault is that he did not ensure that Geet safely returns to her house and that he berated her so badly Infront of his parents. He could have handled the situation a bit more tactfully and shown a bit more care. After Geet arrived at his house, he could have taken her to a cafe and counseled her that he is not that invested in the relationship and that she should not be making impulsive decisions. Instead he shouted at her and pushed her out of his house. That's not how gentlemen behave.

I think Anshuman having a change of heart after Geet's phonecall has more to do with this guilt of being so careless about Geet than because of love per se.

No he didn't. And I'm not a fool like Geet to land in such a situation.

Why are people expecting Anshuman to ensure Geet's safety? She ran away from home. It's on her to ensure her safety. He actually told her to go back many times but she didn't. What would he do?

Pull her ear and take her home forcefully? She's an adult with a child's brain. She's not really a child.
