i heard on the news that on opening night, Guru began with a 50-60% opening but by the end of the day, it was up to 80-90% . Personally, I watched this Saturday night with a group of friends and the whole theater was full. I don't think this was a publicity stunt, that would be very low. I think that maybe since Jan. 14th was such an auspicious day for Hindus, the Bachchans, being a very religious family, chose it, we can't really know the reason, but i highly doubt it was for publicity... In fact, seeing them on every channel all day long would make a sane person NOT want to see more of them, at least I wouldn't.... And KANK, well, in my opinion, it has no comparison to Guru. 👏
