Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea was not accepted by the court after the prosecution raised objections regarding jurisdiction of the magistrate court to hear her plea.

Actor Rhea Chakroborty and her brother Showik have approached the special court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for bail as their pleas were rejected by the Magistrate court on Wednesday.

In her plea, Rhea has stated that she is innocent and falsely implicated in the case. Further, it is claimed that Rhea “was coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions and by her application on September 8 the applicant has formally retracted all such incriminatory confessions”.

The actor’s bail plea too was not accepted by the court after the prosecution raised objections regarding jurisdiction of the magistrate court to hear her plea.

Questioned for three days by all levels of officers of the NCB from September 6 to 8, Rhea was formally arrested on Tuesday. “There was not a single lady officer who interrogated the present applicant as mandated by law. The Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Sheela Barse VS State Maharashtra, has held that the interrogation of females should be carried out only in the presence of a female police officer/constable,” reads the bail application, highlighting that the agency failed to comply with the guidelines of the apex court.

Shameful that an organization like NCB cannot even follow the basic directive of having a female officer present when a woman is being interrogated.

It is in BJP's interest to keep her locked up till the Bihar elections, so they will keep trying various stunts to keep her behind bars, using whatever coercive methods they can apply.

Here I totally agree with you....I think she is guilty in some capacity...if not directly then indirectly for Sushant's death.....but locking her up for this drug case and focusing the attention from the actual case to the drug case is totally BJP's game plan....until the election is over...and then she will be let go by paying 10,000 Rs or maybe even less..who knows....but in between all this drama of satisfying the gullible public and drama queens like Kangna and Arnab....the real case has been lost...Sushant will never get justice and his family will never find peace....likh kar le lo...when this Arnab and Kangna got involved....I knew then only ab satyanaash hona hai...aur wahi hua....🤢

My heart breaks for Sushant and his family....they are the real victims in all of this in every which way.....they lost their child...their son and their family got maligned in the process...and hua kuchh nahi

. The law is taking its proper course in her being being arrested for the drug peddling . If it’s proved in the court, then , she should be punished appropriately for her offence. But, this drug case has nothing to do with the SSR case. My problem is, ppl blaming her for his suicide. There’s not even an iota of evidence that she has anything to do with him killing himself.
If she is to be punished, then it should be for her drug charges and nothing else. Same way , Kjo can be rightfully blamed for nepotism but not for SSR suicide.
