Wow. Do you really think some one will take life to go on that pedestal

in some cases whole Family has done suicide.

But ALL TV channels are only talking about SSR for political reasons. They do not talk about other cases at all..

Oh that’s terrible

More high schoolers, teenagers in the US are dying due to suicide and drugs overdose since the lockdown

Scary to think how many people might choose that path due to financial ruin caused by lockdown

We are also seeing the effects of lockdown, with increased spikes in suicide rates, divorce rates etc. This is truly the time to come together, support one another, be considerate and kind with words and actions❤️❤️❤️

Bold - And drug overdose

Somebody said the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, the opposite of addiction is connection. Already people were increasingly feeling isolated bcz of social media and less in person interactions, now all social connection is lost due to this lockdown...

But some people hyperventilate at the very thought of people leaving their house and trying to lead their life
The sight of people eating in restaurants enrages then

and the funny part is that my old less educated mother understand this but so many educated NRI's keyboard worriers do not understand it..

Job losses and no work. Mumbai is the epicentre of entertainment industry and still the film and tv industry hasn't been able to get back on track with shoots like other cities and regional industries have. Add to that stalling of payments, out of work crew members, spot boys and daily labourers since there's no hope of when shoots will start full fledgedly due to the covid condition in Mumbai which still remains very high. Plus the city in itself is a very expensive city to survive in if you're in an industry where payments come as per the days you worked on a serial/film and there's no fixed income. Also the city is very lonely for outsiders since no one has time to socialize as the industry works at a breakneck speed literally 24*7. All of this adds to a lot of stress which can lead to depression given the time we are living in. These are actors, they still earn a bit better but the crew members are worst hit. Due to covid guidelines, even where shoots have started, the crew has been reduced to half so more job losses. Plus problems with insurances and payments during these times.

Usually in TV industry you get your payment after three months now god only knows how long will that payment take. Extremely difficult time for all in Mumbai, esp the entertainment industry that constitutes a huge part of the city.

That's why calling of all these social media boycotts and systematic trending on IF/other sites pisses me off to no end because the people they are boycotting for have already been paid and in a comfortable position while it is the crew who suffer the most when a film fails. But how to make them understand. They'll probably do when they themselves lose their jobs all of a sudden.

Idiots. I hope they understand that soon they will have blood on them while they were trying to be revolutionary. It's easy to blabber about bringing change when you have zero clue how business model works within the industry. Their hate for certain people is overpowering their ability to be fair and rational towards all. That's all. They don't care about people whose bread and butter is at stake.

But the film crew is paid too regardless of the B.O outcome of the movie, right?

It’s not like they’re doing pro bono work...

I am guessing they get their daily/monthly wages while working on the movie before the release of the movie

So how does it affects the crew members but not the bigwigs like the stars, directors and producers?
