First of all thank you to all the beautiful comments on this thread. I was not sure I'll be able to bring myself to watch Dil Bechara, but because of this thread I did.
❤️❤️❤️
I loved the movie. There is no doubt it could've been made better in the hands of a better director, and also the budget constraints were visible in many places. Also, the writing, dialogues, cinematography, editing - all could've been better. Yet I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, which is all that matters.
I loved the start. Had we not had this pandemic, and had had a theatrical release, SSR's whistle-worthy entry scene itself would've made up for my ticket's worth! 👏 SSR looked so joyful and full of life in those scenes.
I loved Sanjana as well. She looks pretty, has decent physique, has great camera presence, expressive eyes, and decent acting chops. I'd say an impressive debut. For me the one scene she faltered at was the fake eulogy she delivered in the church. The support cast is good especially SSR's friend (he also did great in Dulhania series) & Sanjana's parents.
The writing could've been much better. They basically f$$$ed the cafe scene with guest appearance. It made no sense. Also some of the motivations and scenes could've been written better.
I was disappointed with the ending. It felt too anti climactic for me. They also faltered at capturing the essence of a small town like TataNagar (Jamshedpur).
SSR started with a bang. Was good through the middle portions, and then was really dull towards the end (which went with the character arc).
Overall it's a good movie, well worth your time. ❤️

Now the review sorta ends as I'm going into bashing mode. You may skip what comes if you're tired of "the outrage".
As I was watching the movie, I don't know why I felt I could sense a difference in SSR's performance. He seemed to be a person affected by what people think of him, and I felt MeToo really really hit him bad.
I gave so many expletives while watching the movie to Masand. @Masand - you are a dalla in the name of a journalist. You are a m$$$$$$$d, your m$$ ka bho$$$$, bh$$$$$d, l$$du, g$$$u. Who the f$$$ have you the right to use a national platform to openly insinuate dirty things about someone? You coward. 🤬 And Anupama - shame on you. If you want to maintain a dignified silence that's fine, but no, you have to jump into the fray to advise everyone to stop bashing the movie mafia for dignity. Why don't you take your haughty elitist dignified silence wala advice and shove it up your $$$ by keeping the f$$$ quiet? Seriyaa? 😡
I hope Mumbai Police unmasks all those behind the dirty games that were played to target SSR.
@SSR - bro look all around you. See how much YOU meant to us. This outrage is proof of how much a pure heart means to all of humanity! Please ignore the aspersions being cast on your name by those ironically advising everyone to also maintain dignity in your death. I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Rest in peace in eternal bliss! 👍🏼
